    Comair Pilots

Gladly. It's "here" not "hear" unless you are talking about how deaf you are because of this job.

How bad is it to break a training contract??

Seems pretty straight forward, but would you bet a few thousand dollars on being right without asking an attorney? I wouldn't. The law is interpretive and this will certainly come down to attorneys identifying when, in fact, training is complete. I don't think it's necessarily a slam dunk...

    I'm Standard

That's just like the guy who says, "I'm really laid back" in their brief. Actually, if you were laid back you would feel the need to say it. I know I'm in trouble when I hear this and the standard comment. It's gonna be a long trip!

    My 1st Gulfstream Airlines Jumpseater

If that's what you meant then why didn't you say it? What you said was that they put pilots on the street and they didn't.

    My 1st Gulfstream Airlines Jumpseater

Out of curiosity, which pilots did they put on the street by paying for their training there? I wasn't aware of any.

U.S. Airways seeks to replace DASH-8s

It's going to be tough to get Bombardier to fill the 50 seat order since they stopped production of them earlier this year.

    Not enough pilots out there?

That's exactly what this board is for. Any you are now in my fight. Congradulations.

    Not enough pilots out there?

They're kids. That's why Barney the purple dinosaur exists for them and not for us. They have to be treated differently that adults. Is this such a difficult concept? Perhaps we should show them "Apocalypse Now" and teach them about the legacy of war? Why sugar coat things and not be...

    Not enough pilots out there?

Go back to the dictionary and learn the difference between opinion and fact. Then re-read my post. Explaining first year pay and furlough is simply passing on factual data and I don't think there is anything wrong with that (if you had read my posts carefully you would have already understood...

    Not enough pilots out there?

Did you even bother to read my post? Or did you read it and not understand it? I told him to keep his negative opinions about this industry to himself when speaking to gradeschoolers who are still considering flying as a career one day in the distant future. I am certainly an opinionated...

    Not enough pilots out there?

Learn the difference between a fact and an opinion. If you tell someone what first year pay is then you are stating a fact. If you then go on to tell them what you think of that pay, they you are stating an opinion. Keep your opinions to yourself.

    Air Wisconsin Schedules

Diverdriver. My post was meant to reference this guy's post. Getting displaced and having to move or commute sucks when you used to have a domicile in your hometown. Guess that's the regional game of musical airplanes. Good luck.

    Air Wisconsin Schedules

Anyone who's been here more than a year is owed a move since EVERYONE was displaced from their domicile. Anyone who's been here less than a year knew we were closing those domiciles when they got hired and made a choice to commute. There is no room to complain.

    Not enough pilots out there?

You are a d0uche bag. You are unhappy with they way your career has turned out. Sorry for you, but what would compel you to try to disuade others who are not in the business yet and who still have dreams of flying? Everyone has their own experience and I am happy with mine as a lot of others...

    Delta RFP

The Northwest RFP closed about six months ago and still no word. I would say they can take as much time as they want. They'll make an announcement at the most financially opportune time for Delta.

Mesa pilots in PHX with plywood boards?

No the FAA wouldn't care, but I'll be the Arizona Republic may be interested to hear how the pilots of the aircraft flying out of Phoenix are living while they're on the road. I can't imagine the shock value that article would have. Anonymously written of course!

    737 Type Rating?

I wouldn't want to work for any company that would hold it against you for making your resume as strong as it can possibly be. A type rating certainly separates you from some of the resumes in the stack, especially at Southwest. No airline expects that you will apply to them and only them...

What foods do you travel with?

Or just rip the strings off and throw the bags in there. They don't come out when you drink because they swell up. Then you don't have the leakage problem. It's a great drink. I do it a lot myself.

    Best Books?

"Hard Landings" I don't remember who the author is, but it is interesting and very informative.
