This takes many at Colgan far too long to learn. While on duty, never call and try to solve problems. Pick up your phone when they call you. When you're done, check out with crew scheduling and don't pick up your phone until show time. Case closed.
Just do a good job while ON DUTY and you'll...
How much do two 18 year-old whores cost if you show them your airline ID? What if you are still in ground school and don't have your ID yet? Can you say regional airline forum?
There's nothing like thinking you've bought a ticket on USAirways, walking out to a red white and blue C model with 43,000 cycles on it, and a pilot is smiling with a chew in at the bottom of the steps. That pretty much sums up Colgan.
Remember that the Beech 1900 FO is the FA, so those who have been in that role know more about an FA's job than most. And on the pilot side, those that flew the 1900 are the best sticks I know.
Bravo Air Wisconsin. Any pilot group that decides to screw future hires with a B-scale deserves to be screwed over themselves. It's management's dream come true to have a truly divided pilot group.

They will initially use it on the PQI-BOS run, transporting obese Mainers and French Canadians. All the PQI crews will be going to the sim at the end of June.

Anyone that hasn't landed a 7-MEL Beech 1900 in -FZRA, vis 1/2, runway 5000', 20 knot x-wind, 10 knots on the tail, braking action "poor" with a chew buzz on is a big sissy.
I have talked to numerous FOs at Colgan over the years that have had terrible IOE experiences. Captains yelling at them for doing things "incorrectly" even though they had never been taught the "correct" way. Captains expecting 1000-hour wonders on IOE day 1 to handle getting dumped on an...
It's actually a fairly poor indicator when deciding which airline to work for, though perhaps more relevant at the regional level where you're concerned about the eclipsing the poverty line.
Four years ago who would have thought that Colgan would have 50 airplanes? Or that Comair and Mesaba...
That happened to me on a lesser scale. I got a stall fail warning while #3 for departure, I look down and there is a ramper with fireplace gloves on running away with one of my AOA vanes.
