Great PA from a Capt.

I was recently in the back of a major airline aircraft and the Captain was making the enroute PA.

"...... and I would like to thank you for flying with ____ Airlines today because we know you have a choice of many backrupt airlines to choose from."

You know pilots are happy when they get on the PA and tell a couple hundred people this. He must not give a ____ anymore.

I heard a pretty good pro-Christmas PA 2 years ago, the pilot was retiring, and he said it was too late for anyone to do anything about his PA cuz they were about to take off, and then full power was applied.

At Colgan we have a lot of EAS routes. I like to say, "I know you have no choice in airlines, but thanks for flying with us anyway."

Heard a Ca at Mesaba say "Thanks for doing your best to keep us all employed". I felt sorry for em but I had a good chuckle.
