They are a great bunch of guys, you will learn a lot.
They are generous with flight time.
You will fly in all sorts of weather.
I flew in actual for the first time with them.

thank you very much for the explanation.
I searched the manuals, POH, even the internet.
I tried to find something that would show exactly what and where the horns were so I could common sense it.
Thanks again.
I have another obscure question.

b. Heater elements to prevent Ice build up in the gap between the horns and the tips of the horizontal stabilizer
c. Conditioned air
d. none
I found reference for the...
I have a question about flight time.
I understand that I can only fly for 1000 hours per year.
I also understand that piedmont is short on pilots and you will probably fly 100 hrs per month. After 10 months you max out your year
That leaves 2 months without being able to fly.
Do you...
for #1 I put that it does not shut down, the only reference I found says it turns on a blower to cool it down.
for # 2 I put trim valves, but still couldn't find a for sure answer

a. By bleed air
b. By hydraulic fluid
c. By hot engine lubricating oil
d. By cabin air
I think it is that way at most of the crappier regionals. I ran across a guy here who was approaching 60 cycles on SOE.
I've heard of many new guys going 12 or more sim sessions, with the highest being over 20.
At what point are they cutting them off and sending them home?
...this a better place to work. On top of that, if pilots in my seniority range quit in droves as the more junior crowd has, you'll be in even deeper ******************** as captains find other jobs, and few if any FO's have the required time to upgrade.
Thank you for trying to make it a...
During the 10 days off, am I on call for 6 of them?
While on reserve I can be anywhere for the 4-6 days if I understand you correctly?
Once I hold a line will I be back in base most every night?
Sorry for all the probably dumb questions, I'm just trying to understand how the schedule...
Any current piedmont employees out there?
If so can you give me some info about scheduling, expecially for new F/O in either Roanoke, new bern, and/or charlottesville.
I would like to know how the scheduling works etc.. the days and times and stuff like that.
Thanks in advance
Can anyone tell me what the schedules are like for new guys , reserve as well as line holders in Roanoke Crew base.
DON'T just say they suck!!!!!
Please give me the details so I can know a little better what to expect.
Things like duty times, days you work in a row, where you will...
Let's see 3 years as CFI, still have to be an F/O for at least a year before you could upgrade to captain.
OR
3 years as F/O and upgrade to captain with 3000 hours Lot's of experience, seniority, benefits etc...
HMMM it would take 4 years if you go CFI route and 3 years if you go F/O...
