I bought the software from http://www.dauntless-soft.com/PRODUCTS/GroundSchool/ and studied it for about 3 days then just took the test. This software is really well designed, it allows you to filter out repeat questions and questions with flight planning etc, so you can just study the most important stuff and learn enough to pass. It can also simulate lasergrade or cats or whatever testing center you are going to so you get used to the format.

I just went to ATP and stared at the questions for about 6 hours before taking the test. Got a 95.

Yeah, it's kind of expensive but what do I care, I'm an airline pilot so I can easily afford it.

bought the asa book for 30 bucks, didn't even open the performamce or the weight and balance chaptors, tore them out. Studied the other chapters for 2 days and took the test and got an 88.
