Well we dont wear them at awac, though some people want them. I wear the trech coat in winter, blazer in spring and fall. I guess for me leather might be much easier to wear and lug around commuting so I would probably sport it if the wanted us to. However, I bring a fleece to wear on...
Is Awac the only group of pilots that turn down growth for less pay? It is beginning to become obvious that the rest of the regional MEC's are freaking Pus sies. Stand up for yourselfs. You all make me sick and I am getting very tired of it.
Point taken but it is important for the other pilot groups to understand that some of us are trying to keep some sort of standard in the industry. I hope others can take something out of that memo.
I will post it.
Over the past several weeks the company has met with your MEC to discuss ideas that would make our company more competitive in bidding on the Pinnacle 50 seat RJ flying.
The company stated that for them to be competitive in bidding on this flying our pilot group would need to...
When you see these people, you need to let them know how you feel. They deserve no respect. Speak up, tell them what scum they are, question their decesion to go to work for these bastards. I am yet to run into one but I can't wait for the day I do.
As a side note, has anyone had any of these...
Well, just woke up and read the news. I feel like I have just been punched in the gut or maybe kicked in the balls. I want to bitch at all of the bottom feeders but that won't do any good, they just don't understand. AWAC was one of the best, we were working to keep the bar high and this is our...
At least in the CRJ you don't have to wear David Clamps like a private pilot and you need no headset above FL180. Unless your one of those guys (and you know who you are). You can always tell how the trip is going to go by what kind of headset the guy next to you pulls out of his bag.
Thats is one of the biggest problems with our industry. Do you really think airline pilots should be making the US average income. Give me a break!! We should be getting paid what Kit was making prior to pay cuts with his kind of experience and longevity in the industry. Also he is not...
It is up to Mesaba and Coex to set the standard right now for the regionals and it is the job of the rest of us to support there efforts. Good luck to both pilot groups, you have my support
Cleveland will add 13 more Beech 1900 D models to the fleet. Not sure exact number currently but around 15 currently in Albany, give or take a couple.
Two aircraft a month until cleveland project is complete. Larger aircraft are being negotiated currently but no idea on how many and were...
Something has to be done soon about the whole industries jump-seat issues. Part of being a pilot is being able to commute but getting bumped off flight after flight with a jumpseat wide open is getting old. I have heard ALPA is working on it but havn't heard any updated, anybody out there know...
I would agree with most everything previously stated above. Great airplane, easy to fly, and most of all fun. (a true pilots airplane). Barber Pole to six dme power to idle to meet the speed restriction of 200 by 5 dme and land effortlessly and make taxiway of choice.
Only complaint is...
Anybody know when we will be allowed to carry guns. Not looking for this to turn into a debate, just want the particulars on carrying guns in the cockpit.
