...and they're not just going to cut a check to give us the 50% raise in total compensation that we seek either.
They only way they do it is if they cost of not doing it is greater.
And don't give me that "they can't afford it" bs, they just gave themselves 150% increases right off the bat...
You know not of what you speak.
The arbitration that will take place over the violation of CAL's scope clause is not binding. It is just expedited arbitration. An arbitrator is not a judge. Because of CAL mgmt's crafty wording of their "interpretation" of the contract this is categorized as...
That is the worst part. Do you not pay ANY attention to what's going on? Or do you enjoy the smell of your rectal-cranial inversion?
How can you even attempt to pontificate about something you admit you don't know anything about?
Apathetic, uneducated pushovers like yourself are the reason...
Expedited arbitration is scheduled.
If arbitrator rules with company, ALPA will take it to court and seek an injunction.
If arbitrator rules with ALPA, expect Jeff Lorenzo-Smisek to ignore the arbitrator and.....ALPA will take it to court and seek an injunction.
In the mean time, its hard to...
The hire dates that show for them on the CAL seniority list reflect their COEX date of hire, but their order on the seniority list is by their CAL date of hire.
Correct, the pay issue does not have to be connected to the SLI.
Just like the 'status and catagory' of furloughed pilots hired by the other airline as covered in the transition agreement, an SLI arbitrator will not change anything that has already been agreed to by both parties.
SO, if both...
Don't feed the trolls. ;)
Besides CAL wouldn't be a good narrow body partner for UAL,..... CAL's 737 pilots get paid more than the outsourced 70 seat RJ captains.
(in fact, more than UAL's 767 captains)
The TPA provides block hour protection for any shifting of flying 100% for the CAL side, 90% for the UAL side.
No new bases or equipment can be added in the "back yard" of existing bases with the exception of CAL LAX 737 or EWR 787.
You will most likely see UAL equipment on "CAL" routes and...
Its not "in the press". This guy isn't a reporter, he's a masters student writing in a blog.
If it were true, it would be in more than just a blog written by a UT student.
JNC scope proposal was passed to mgmt a couple of weeks ago. As of Fri, two sections have yet to be passed but no word on what they are. (compensation is probably one of them as it had not been passed as of the update two weeks ago)
Should be interesting to see what mgmt turns back to us with...
oh yeah, my ops certificate can beat up your ops certificate.
Show me the money and they can put it all on the original Varney certificate for all I care.
Three words.......SCOPE, SCOPE, SCOPE.
Unless the greed of the execs overrides their hatred of pilots and unions, we expect to be butting heads over scope.
The "new" UAL may be to big to walk off and shut the place down, but that doesn't mean we can't stay on property during self help and...
