Logging IRO time?
I agree. If your an FO and the CA is napping you don't get to log PIC. If the flight is 12 hrs, then log 12 hrs as FO or CA. ICAO/FAR's require 2 type rated FO's and one type rated CA. FO and CA is what's on your paycheck and it's your job title. -

I'm surprised Qatar Airways wasn't on the list. The only airlines I have not flown on that list is Air NZL and Virgin Australia (used to fly a lot of positioning flights as a freight dog). My top two were Etihad and Qatar with EK being 3rd. I actually thought Korean Air was really good and JAL...- House_X

oh yeah, it's the UAW's fault GM continued to build Hummers, SUV's and Pick-ups (with sky high oil prices) instead of fuel efficient cars (while paying out huge bonuses and dividends) rather than investing in new technologies like Ford did. Yeah, those unions at Alaska, SWA, Delta, FedEx etc... -

Saudi Arabia , Korea and India are a piece of cake...when you start getting used to to Karachi and Yangon control on HF. Worst I've heard recently is Curacao control...the papiamento accent is tough to decipher... -

Depends on the company contract T&C's. After flying freight out of India, it changed my perspective. It's a fascinating country and you can live like P-Diddy at the fraction of the cost of Dubai with the right contract. The Spice Jet and Indigo expats seemed to be enjoying it. "Jetta" was due to going over the Mai Tai limit. I never lived in the M/E, but I lived in Japan for 7 months. I've got a few friends at EK. They all like it "ok", but they would all take a class at SWA, UPS or FedEx at the first opportunity available.- House_X

Do they still have a "termination department"? Heard some of the guys at QR often move on to other jobs after a few years. Doha was a bit too conservative for the average westerner, makes Dubai seem like Chico State on a Saturday night. Great airline to fly on as a pax though...- House_X

How is putting IASCO Flight Instructors on the street a blessing? You guys are complaining about the traffic at Napa?
