JohnP: I have NO problem with ASA! We don't need to trade jabs. You got what you got and do a great job. I just came over here to see what the regional forum had to say about the 70 seaters in IAH and EWR. I don't doubt for a nano second that if CAL called a legal strike you're group would not work it. And CAL would do the same for you. It's in most of our contracts, it's not something we're expected to do. I'd take Yuppypuppy with a grain of salt and not worry about it. If ALPA managed to change the landscape of scope to the point 70 seats went to mainline I think the pilots flying them would go as well. I think ALPA fragmentation policy covers that, and if not it should be changed to provide for that. (call your rep about that and see if you can get it done. You go with the jet) Guys like Yuppypuppy have lost their a$$ big time and no matter what he says I wouldn't wish what happened to him on my worst enemy. On this deal in IAH and EWR with the 70 seaters: this is serious issue that could escalate very quickly. If CAL's contract gets abrogated we can go on strike immediately.

Why does everyone at mainline assume that everyone at the regionals want to go to mainline? You want my jet, take it, but bring me and my fellow employees with it, and fence it off until we leave it. Sound fair? The jet is at mainline with the same crew flying it, no interview at all. If I'm good enough to fly ual pax now, I'll be good enough to fly them then.

This is so retarded. You CAL/UAL guys want your flying back? You want the CAL scope enforced? Walk out.
Stop bitching and whining and talking and walk.

Do we really need a review of how we got here? Do we really want to put your pathetic union under the microscope? Do you really believe regional "teenagers" are responsible for this crap?

Yeah, that's what I thought. Put up or shut up.

We are going to take a stand.

Obviously we all know why CAL [UAL] mgt chose non-union Skywest to do this flying. To my recollection, Skywest has never done flying that was this obviously contrary to another pilot group's CBA. Is that correct?

Skywest pilots who decide to do this flying need to know this will be considered a scab operation. That is the plain and simple fact. The term scab get's thrown around on here a lot, but in this case, it's exactly what they will be.

Hey Flopgut,

How many SkyWest pilots have scabbed? How many CAL pilots have scabbed? Besides, scabbing refers to struck work!!

Time to get my CLICKER ready! Now when I'm in IAH and I see the crj700 "click, click, click" as I walk by the crew. I should just bring it out everytime I see a skyworst crew what am I thinking? CAL pilots will win this hands down!

I thought that was when pilots crossed the picket line of a striking pilot group to do their jobs while they were on strike?

Not necessarily. The master list includes names of pilots involved in this exact sort of thing. Sometimes even in other countries. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong JohnP. In fact, if you care to take the time, consider contacting your reps and ask them to get some official guidance for your own pilot group on this. The start date will be here quickly and you don't want to get cought up in this. (doubt you will anyway) Your contract should include language that absolves you from being scheduled to do flying of this sort.

If CAL mgt thought they could do this legally they would have already cited or explained to us exactly what they thought constitued their right. They would have also included Republic, more than likely. but I don't think the Teamsters will need this explained to them.

I'll trade you a "guppy killer" sticker for a CLICKER!

How soon until you retire, pops?

Yuppypud,
If assigned I will fly to IAH all day and every day assigned, right up until UAL/CAL ALPA declares it struck work, at that point I will refuse to fly all defined struck work, and will in fact quit, not because I am worried about being labeled a scab, because its wrong! Hows that for a nonunion pilot you so love to spit at. I was willing to quit during the Comair strike over gauge increases in flying and in fact there were a bunch of us unwilling to fly ANY previous Comair city pairs. I find no small amount of irony that a pilot on a seniority list that most likely has had more ALPA defined scabs on it feels holy enough to lecture SKYW pilots, many who are hadrdcore unionists.
I will assure you now, I carry a PDF copy of the ALPA scab list, and it is easily searchable in real time, and if and when I fly into IAH, I will check every UAL/CAL jumpseater trying to catch a ride, if the name fits, they will be welcome to buy a seat in back because they will not get into my cockpit, for any reason.
I will ask you point blank, how many scabs have you flown with? and how many conversations and/or meals have you had with them?
PBR

Oh please not the "clicker", anything but the dredded clicker!

Please, please, don't even think about using the mighty clicker!

Ok, you can have all of our jets and we will leave Houston, just please don't use the clicker, that just cruel.

You win "hands down".

Are you kidding Yup, did you eat paint chips as a kid?

Well Gup, if the scuttling doesn't work you could always put the 145 training you have to use somewhere.

Grow a pair jacktard. Walk. Show us all how big and strong your union is.
What? You'd rather Skywest pilots put their necks on the line for your weak a$$es? Figures.

Better yet why don't you sit there behind the keyboard and mouth off while your management ravages your taint. Again. Weak a$$.
