I'm not "Ed".
I didn't say the 'reduction in all employees compensation packages is good for the company', I meant it was necessary to remain open. Plus, how do you know that senior leadership hasn't been included in the reductions? Fact only here please.
The former CEO/COO are not relevant anymore. Just let it go.
Define FUD (in your view).

Deny, Deny, Deny. I don't care what you say I still believe you are Ed. If you aren't you certainly share his views and writing style. 1. Let what go? Since the cuts that the previous adminstration imposed remain mostly intact they are relevant. 2. In most cases when a leader has shown the leadership to take cuts along with the regular working stiffs they are very public about it and use it as a rallying point. I have heard no such claim from this or the previous administration. If the cuts were needed to keep the company afloat a good leader would have not only taken a cut but disclosed and discussed it. If Kenn is really strictly looking afetr his investment he would be working on a $1 salary with no bonus and tell everyone about it.
FUD= fear uncertainty and doubt. Basically anything designed to undermine the solidarity of the union. I beleive your anti union fervor is strictly motivated by self interest Ed. A contract would affect your "special deal" and put you on the same level as everyone else. What a blow to your ego would that be. You would no longer be "special" Ed.

Its like you didn't even read my post.

Oh, I read it alright. And your ongoing commentary further serves to prove my point. With each post you prove yourself to be an irrelevant, lost soul Skumza. I continue to shake my head and pity you.

Waaayyyy off dude. I addressed facts in my last post and in others. Everybody here sinks to name-calling level - some more than others. Please re-read my last post without bias, I'm just stating my position. It's unfortunate that when you people catch a glimpse of somebody that doesn't support the union, you immediately discount everything they say. And reduce your ability to read and comprehend something from and objective angle. I, however don't discount you guys.
This is getting tiring...

OK silver. I just have a few things after reading your post:
-Why not start off with a strike? You know it will end up there anyways. And like you really want to waste time with negtiations.
-What is the strike colses the company? You'll wish you had that "sub-industry" pay compaired to the no pay you'll have. Plus all the other people who's lives were affected negatively so you could make a fu(king point.
-No, I would not work here if I were being paid less than when I was hired.
-Every company is experiencing a rise it health care costs. Don't expect ours to be different.
-There is no such thing as job security by the way.

Is any of this what you call addressing the Facts? From what I can tell this is a collection of expressions of personal opinion, supposition, and innuendo. I have not seen one thing that you have posted that can be supported by fact. The reason that so many vilify you on this board is you make wild statements and claims without any fact to back it up. You accuse "Unions" of everything short of being harbingers of the Anti Christ. If your goal is to have people, mostly Union supporters, become belligerent and believe you to be a Union buster, congratulations, you have succeeded. But if you care at all that people consider what you say and that your thoughts might be worth considering, what you say has to be supportable in some way other then just your opinion.

By the way, I know you are not Ed M. he is not smart enough to string enough words together to make a sentense. But I hear he is very good at smoking jet engines.

If the business model cannot provide a profit after paying employee wages, the company does not deserve to remain open. Working class employees should not be asked to subsidize wealthy peoples private jet travel nor company profits. Pay a fair wage or close. It's time to send a clear message there is no room in this industry for corner cutting, bottom dwelling, cheapskate operators. If you want to claim to be an industry leader, then lead!

Considering the price owners pay for these aircraft, they damn well expect their flight crews will be well cared for, and their aircraft maintained to the highest standard. They expect the crews to be well fed and rested when they intrust their families lives to them which means good food and decent hotels They expect if something breaks on an airplane it will be properly addressed immediately! The owners and customers are paying for it and expect nothing less. Pilot salaries and benefits should be considered a fixed cost like aircraft payments, fuel, insurance and maintenance. If the company cannot make a profit over the long haul, the business plan needs to change. Not pilot salaries!

Right on the money X. Its amazing that we have pilots that are still fighting so that our company can continue business as usual at the expense of the pilots. Those days are over, pay up or shut down.

And you, Joe C., have an unusual interest in this fight for someone who's been at Southwest for over a year now. But being gone that long you still talk like you know what's going on at FO, when you clearly don't. Trying to make up for playing both sides while you were here? Still stealing hotel porn, or are you at least paying for it these days now that you've made the big leagues?

You can steal hotel porn???

Details, details, details! How do you steal hotel porn?!!

Well said though X, put out or shut up! Wait that's with my wife... Pay up or Shut down! Good luck guys.

After all, this is a 'discussion'. . I have not seen one thing that you have posted that can be supported by fact. You accuse "Unions" of everything short of being harbingers of the Anti Christ. -not really, just anti-company. You know, the whole 'bite that hand that feeds' thingy.. If your goal is to have people, mostly Union supporters, become belligerent and believe you to be a Union buster, congratulations, you have succeeded. But if you care at all that people consider what you say and that your thoughts might be worth considering, what you say has to be supportable in some way other then just your opinion. you too
