It's just something to talk about here. Although the lack of insurance for new hires for the first six months is total BS. However, there are many options to choose from that are not expensive to cover you during this time.

Actually, the pay is right on to what we had at ACA/Independence Air...the original holders of the Compass certificate. Keep in mind, this was AFTER the pay cuts.
I'm on pace for $34-36K first year pay. I know it sucks but my decision to come to CAL was based on long term growth and these pay rates will drastically change (amongst other things) come Contract 08'. However, my pay will more than double come next year.
I definately do not pick anything up...
New 737-800's. New 737-900ER's. New 787's. $200+ million dollar quarterly profits. Large amounts of pilot retirements (even with age 65). Profit sharing checks. New Contract/PBS changes. Captain upgrades less than 3 years.......Things are very scary here!

Relax man...the interview process there is painless, in fact you might enjoy it. You've got the call to interview and that is the hard part, do not give them a reason not to hire you. Good luck!
