They did it just today.

I was wondering do all crewmebers have to be ex military? What planes have been called up before?
Come on, let's just spend 0.00000000000001 of our GDP and hire one or two more pilots instead of having to deal with the aftermath of having drugged up pilots.
I was just kidding about the 200 thing.
Alright thanks for the advice. Also, do you know if JetBlue has Open Houses, and are they just in the NYC area?
I'll be graduating college soon with a degree in Aeronautical Engineering and I would really like to work for JetBlue as a ground employee. But all of the openings on their website either are for a manager or a part time employee.
I've interned for Delta before but I don't think I can call...
They are most likely a "Part 161 Flight school" in which case they don't have the regular requirements other pilots do. For example, if you want to go from PPL to Inst. you don't need 50 hours of cross country time, you could just go right in.
Anyways, good luck on the 352 exam!
I would like to do my instrument with a part 141 school and was wondering if I can pass my written by myself, without their ground school.
Also, how many hours does it take to get the instrument with 141?
The day before my PPL checkride I almost ran the plane off the runway. I was drifting right of centerline on touchdown and hit the left rudder too hard. After full pitch down and a whole lot of smoke I stopped.
After I parked I burnt my hands when I touched the brakes.
But luckily for me my...
Thanks for the help.
I could spring for the costs but the "unusual approach" scares me. How hard is the approach and how is it different from say Burke Lakefront in Cleveland?
I'm planning a trip to Meigs for this Thursday and was wondering if anyone has any tips on flying up there.
I've never been up there, but I've heard that they give you a crew car for free. Also what are the landing fees if you only stay for a day?
I read somewhere that Americans on average have a darker skin tone on the left side of their face than their right side, and it's exactly the opposite in Australia due to driving.
I bet it's a lot worse up above the clouds and stuff though.
I realize everyone would take any job they can get now, but I'm curious if you could pick between a cargo or pax carrier which would it be, with same pay and aircraft?
I thought many pilots would want to get on with a pax carrier for the flight benefits and stuff, but it seems many prefer to go...
How easy is it to transfer from PPL to LTA?
Is it worth it? How much does a regular hot air balloon cost, how much can you fly it (due to weather)?
I've never been in one, but it sure seems like a great time from what I've seen on tv.
I've looked at a lot of forums, and if you're looking for an aviation career this is the best site.
As far as others:
pprune-for non americans
airliners.net-for aviation hobbyists
flyertalk-for frequent fliers
studentpilot.net-the military board is great
I Agree
I was in a MBA program this summer and many of the people in it, including the professors seemed like snobs.
During the summer we took tours of different companies, and one of the professors, a retired NASA rocket scientist would always ask impossible questions to the employees that...
Thanks for the advice I'm in the same boat, kind of.
I submitted some resumes, and I now I want to follow up on them. I have the personal phone number and e-mail of the HR and CEO of the company I want to work for (it's a small company in the DC area).
I want to contact them soon so they...
Just think, a few decades ago new American citizens coming off of the boats at Ellis Island were proud to clean a restroom for a paycheck. But now we give those jobs to illegal immigrants.
