Are any of the 737s on order for growth, or are they all replacement?
Another question, half of UAL (and all legacies) departures every day are on RJs. I have no love for regional airlines, but it is a large part of UALs traffic and feeds people onto the mainline jets. My question is, what is...
I hate to blow your cover to the world, but you 10 or so extremists are exaggerating the problems we have and making things sound far worse than they are as a strategy to starve jetBlue of new hire\applicants (not working) and embarrass current jetBlue pilots into voting a union (which is...
In the last PVC email, JetBlue has told the PVC they will no longer provide annual raises to our base pay based on industry average of the peer set.
Not acceptable.
I don't think the company is actually considering getting rid of premium pay. They are saying the things they are saying to manage expectations and make us THINK that we are getting such a great deal right now.
For those pilots that had listened to the last several RM conference calls, 80% of...
This is from a senior (pro-company, pro-senior pilot exclusively) 9E pilot. He is responding to a question that asks what the old LOA was about. I have listened to this blowhard for the last several years, and don't believe a word he says. Just wondering if any MSA pilots from 94 or earlier...
This has been circulating in an email around some 9E pilots. I find it to be basically true.
Quote:
Dear Mesaba pilots, we are sincerely glad to have you here with us now. There are some important things that you will need to know and prepare yourselves for to be "Simply the Best".
You will...
NMB put us on ice after company asked for CONCESSIONS at the last negotiating session.
The NMB will not help us, and the PILOTS have not put ANY pressure on the company.
As a pinnacle pilot, I will not say anything more specific than that, but I know our pilots will either grow a spine, or...
I want to know if colgan management put out an anti-alpa, anti-pinnacle pilot letter? I read something that was pretty bad. Just wondering where it came from.
I would think the colgan pilots would see through any of managements obvious attempts to keep you from improving your compensation and...
Well, Once again our management has completely failed to meet the needs of our pilots in negotiations. Not unexpected, but still dissapointing.
I am still trying to fly the safest airplane in the sky.
Pinnacle pilots vote 99.39% in favor of a strike. With 87% participation.
Pretty much sums it up.
Hard to believe that a few people still think about coming here. I guess they would be the .61%.
Read on our Pinnacle board that one of our crews delivered the first of our 15 CRJs to Mesaba MX.
Give our planes a good new home. And scrub off that phildo smell.
Latest vacancy for MSP captains reduced from 12-15 to 2. We have been falling further and further behind on MSP captain vacancies with sometimes 5-10 positions going unfilled each time. But I quess we don't need them anymore.
On top of all the other obvious issues that make this a terrible job, it just got worse for new hires.
If you come to Pinnacle and live in MSP, MEM or DTW, or if you wanted to be based in any of those for commuting you want to here this.
If you come to class and don't have the class...
I have heard a few pilots trying to recruit new pilots for the bonus money. Realize that the only leverage we have right now to get a new contract is the difficulty management is having finding new pilots.
DO NOT help them until they give us a contract. Your retro pay and salary raise will...
Pinnacle says it will be adding a 4th sim in about 8 weeks. They say this will not only help them get caught up, but also to grow if Pinnacle is successful in getting larger RJ's.
My question is, how can a single sim do both. If it helps us get caught up, then it would have to be a 200 sim...
