Well duh, any thread that garners 781 posts about a backwater outfit that won't even make a splash in a long unserviced lav on the last page of the history of aviation is well beyond ridiculous...

Just trying to stir the pot here, but I saw an AirMidwest 1900 the other day, 126YV. To say this thing looked dog tired would be an understatement. I have not seen ONE Regions plane look this bad. This thing was supposed to be all white (Even though each body panel was a different shade of white/gray) and the nice purple engine cowl made a nice touch when placed against the exhaust stains on the nacelle. The Captain I was flying with asked if AirMidwest was a Cargo operator! Anyway...I don't know where I was going with that. Anybody seen my stapler?

Uh, ever seen all the engine-less and door-less jballs in MQY? What ever became of "The Golf Ball"?

Shiny paint means nothing. Even AM has better reliability, check the DOT stats!

OK Way to Broke. I've had it with you. You are an obnoxious moderator. Thank you for helping make FI what it is. :rolleyes: You guys are like freaking Lord of the Flies or something up in here.

Now seriously, how bad did the guy really screw up in his posts. Not too terribly bad. We can all shoot ourselves in the foot from time to time because we are human. We make mistakes. No big deal.

You my friend, are soooo excited about the message board you moderate for having the power to screw someone out of a job. Or so you think. FI is NOT all that. If Regions wants to come here to get info a prospective employee then Regions is NOT all that.

This is ridiculous.

My point was and still is.... its not a good idea to give a play by play of your interview anywhere on here until it is done. Ask some questions, do some research, make some contacts, give feedback after its done, that is what Flight Info is all about! Come give us the good news that you got a job somewhere instead of continuing to shoot yourself in the foot. Regions is a very small company, and I know the CP and her screen name on here. Heck, she was even my instructor when I was at CorpEx. He (pilot) was talking down about his expereince to her on her at the same time as waiting for a call to reschedule his interview without realizing it. My point again is... this is a small business and this is a public forum. Don't let the cat out of the bag until the right time.

As far as being a "obnoxious moderator" and making Flight Info what it is... my opinion about what he is doing to himself here has nothing to do with being a moderator. And if I helped make Flight Info what it is....well thank you... because it is a great site for the sharing of information concerning all aspects of aviation. If you are willing to give me even a little bit of credit for that, thank you, but I don't know if I can take responsibility for the efforts of over 30,000 members here any more than the next guy. Sure there is bickering and non-since that gos on here, but the same things happen in crew rooms across the world every day. If everyone shared the same opinions wouldn't life be boring? Its not that he shot himself in the foot that bothers me so much, its that he is continuing to do so. I want the best for him, which I am sure he will find somewhere besides Regions. I am all about helping pilots, which is exactly why I come here.

I hooked up this guy with a freight outfit that offered him one of his 135 jobs that he is talking about. Soooooo forgive me for trying to help out my fellow pilots.

Flight Info is "all that" it happens all the time. I have gotten jobs as a direct result of contacts I have made here, and people have been turned down jobs as a direct result of what was said here. Regions is what it is, a 19 seat t-prop operator with a great pilot group. Everyone knows everyone at Regions, its that small.

Mcjohn;

True, 754 can say what he wants. True, Way2Broke is obnoxious (it's one of his endearing qualities). But blabbing everything about yourself in a public forum only invites people to read and learn something about you. ANYTHING you say or put on the internet can reflect on you, and you must choose what light that will be. 754 was obnoxious, too, not only on this board but in his almost-harassing of the CP. I mean, really, calling at home at almost midnight? And then to post a letter on the net, a private letter at that, is over the top. He probably got what was best for him, and Regions.

What ever became of "The Golf Ball"?

Apparently BAe has told RA to fix it, and by crackie, they have someone in the hangar fixing it! It might even be able to fly pressurised again! I counted six, yes, 6, mechanics on the hangar floor today, and some of them were even working! Yessir, the first RJ should roll in any day now, if Sir Richard Branson and Oprah Winfrey (the new investors) have their way. Virgin Express-O airlines is gonna put all you pukes outta business, mark my words.......

Belch, you and I know the paintjob is meaningless, unless of course it's not. But how do you think a passenger feels walking up to a "tiny" 19 seat "frankenstein" airplane that is about 32 different shades of white with a purple engine cowling?

In hindsight, it was one of those moments you had to be there to appreciate. Back in my days as a Saab driver for Rejex (all of 2 mos ago...) it would really kinda get to you...hearing day in and day out from some, not all, of the ground handlers at the various outstations how they either missed Air Midwest (AKA Mesa) or they really couldn't wait until Colgan showed up. Anything to get Rejex out. They almost made it sound as if Colgan or AirMidwest were one of the big boys. As an employee, listening to b*tching from the inside is one thing, but to hear this on a daily basis from ground workers (not to imply inferiority in any way) yeah it touches a personal chord with you. And you try not to take it personally, but you almost want to yell at said ground worker "THIS IS EAS! Your airport is EAS because NO ONE wants to fly here! You're scrapping the bottom of the barrel to pull up whichever provider can come in here and do it the cheapest! WHAT KIND OF F-ING SERVICE DO YOU EXPECT?!?"

Granted, contracts were signed and monies were being paid for said service, but it's not as if AM or Colgan are without their flaws. It's just that Regions seems to have regressed to the teething process after DC took over the reigns which left more than a few people scratching their heads. By the way, when/why did the old presidente leave?
