Btw, did 4ness really get out of flying? Hope it’s not true.

No, my main man 4ness is still here. I was behind him in the line at Burger King!
I think the previous post meant to say 'phollis.' Good night folks, bedtime for Akeem. I can't stay up as long as you freight doggs.

Uh, don't take me too seriously. However I know too damm many good people that deserve better and can't or have had trouble getting out of there-you did your share of interviewing and trapsing around job fairs too. Maybe a little abuse would be what he needs...again though, the remark thanking me for kind words-the kind of smarta$$edness I was trying to evoke! A year or so there and maybe he could get on at mesa, who knows?

Yeah, my guess is that J learned more than enough...without reading anything here. Little too much personal revelation for someone that is hoping to interview here-I don't know if it reveals youthful enthusiasm and lack of experience or just poor taste or soemthing else. I was trying to stem that, it seems to have worked.

And yeah, I've known a few nice guys that nice as they are just shouldn't be in an airplane.

I don't know for sure about the 4nicator-he was one of the good ones-I would figure that someone with closer ties to bna would know but my best wishes for him where ever he is!

Er, thanks for the update akeem! Slow on the send, was watching Mail Call, the Gunny blowing up melons with a MP-5...

I gots to hit it too...night all!

I see, tx, yeah I knew ‘bout him going to corporate flight/printing bidness, hope he’d doing well.

I can't stay up as long as you freight doggs.

;) Maybe soon you’ll be a freight puppy? lol

Prince get off the computer - go to bed! You need all the beauty sleep you can get!

"Yeah, my guess is that J learned more than enough...without reading anything here."

Belch - the cfi check ride blame game would be enough for majority of the recruiters. It's perfectly ok to screw up every now and then as long as you take responsibility for it. Re-read his post - he clearly did not – Jen was right - end of story!

Prince - you're still logged on.... ;)

Yes, there is some bad news forthcoming.

Are you referring to the Great Lakes agreement with AA for the STL flying?

I think we should get on to discussing things that are actually going to happen, like my date with Hillary Duff tonight.

Long live the Jet Pig.

Supposedly all flights are now grounded and the saturday crews had to repo the aircraft to MQY. The word I am getting is that it is from mx side (FAA mandate). This cannot look good considering the EAS routes are about to be awarded. Time to go to Kinko's to put my ole high school ID-making skills to use. Let's keep our fingers crossed.

Wow! Could this be the end? I never thought it could actually happen. Looks like I might have to eat my words. I hate to see all these pilots on the street.

WOW I just heard... Got a call saying that all of the Jetstreams and all of the SAAB's are in the Smyrna hangar.

Yeah, if you check out flightaware, you can see all the Saabs and J32s went back to MQY. Anyword as to why they are being "grounded" ?

I believe it was some kind of issue with pilot records.

Not that I doubt you...you'd know more than I do about it. But why do they need to pull all the planes back to MQY for that?

Just heard that all check-airmen need to be re-qualified and in the meantime operations are suspended. Supposedly, all pilots, mx and dispatch personnel will keep receiving their paychecks.

If it makes anyone feel better, about 6 years ago there was a similar situation but much smaller scale. A simulator instructor was deemed unqualified by the FAA all of a sudden (Medial issue) and some 1/3 of the pilots had to retake their PCs. Of course numerous flights were canceled then too but ultimately Corpex survived; let’s hope same will happen now.

In the meantime though - hit the books! If all check-airmen need to re-qualify it means many if not most PCs will have to be retaken again. I remember 6 years ago when 4 months after my PC I was told to fly to STL to have another PC later that day; could happen again.

Good luck everyone, Regions can recover from this!

Yeah, the repo thing is confusing but maybe they are using the part 91 excuse again?

Also, if Corpex does fold, which for the sake of the employees we all pray won’t happen, make sure your DO, Chief Pilot, etc. sends a letter to their counterparts at as many airlines as y’all can think of asking for a “Chapter 11” interview for your pilots, dispathers, etc. Many airlines will offer interviews for employees of grounded airlines (Midway Airlines, Independence, etc).

Uh-oh...I was there back when something simular happened. Now, if the pilots weren't legal, how could they repo the AC? Some kind of 121 paperwork glitch...Holy fracking excrement! I had multiple messages on my phone when I got in country...

I never figured it would be for paperwork that the place would cease operations-the last time they had some ckairmen that were legal and the sims were done in a hurry but if all of them have to requal that is going to take much longer. It was done in about three days last time and only about 60% of the crewmembers were affected.

My bet is that the mystery investors are really impressed now! Av8or, I hope to God you are right about the requals and the pay!

Guys and gals, my thoughts and prayers for your upcoming interviews! Good Luck! Go forth and prosper! There is no time like the present. If any of y'all have outstanding job offers but have held off because of the training contract check with a lawer, I bet this will void it if you are quick and clever!

And the market is booming for pilot hiring right now, which is much different than when alot of us were there.

Once opon a time there were some really sharp people doing some of the jobs like records...but that was Corporate Airlines and some the planes still had "CE" on the tail and there was a RDU base, ya know?

Some of those folks were the first to be disappeared after you know when...guess that they were too expensive.

Well, ya gets what ya pay for!

It just occured to me that the "paychecks will keep coming" line is sort of an echo of past statements...it was wrong back then and the company was in far better shape than now. I hope that this time they live up to it!

922 and 933, right? Or is 917 one of them...ya know, some things are starting to get away from me...I think that might be good!

I also remember that yamaco had some really cool cheat sheats. Given the rush to requal everyone last time with so many folks out and grounded without their books to study I made many copies and stapled some nice packets together for the crews to refresh with. The wicked witch of the midwest beoched at me for wasting her printer then called the DO and he sent out a nasty letter about how we should be ready for checkrides all the time...yeah, guess you should do approaches to stalls on every flight so you're ready for that sim ride, right?

No good deed goes unpunished!

This thread seems to be non-ending!

Well anywho it might end soon if Regex goes kaput. I do hope it doesnt for the sake of the crews and employees (know many of ya'll). At the same time it might be good if it were absorbed into another regional.

Advice to anyone looking to fly or be an F/a....steer clear of Regions. Big roller coaster ride there!

Anywho take care friends at regions, hope ya'll are doin well.

RV's are cool...got to have some fun in a -4 a couple of times...

I don't know how I missed this one...

Tram quote:
"Man, nothing like an over night is UIN.. I's is boooorreeed..."

Too bad you never had a long overnight there with me. You missed out, the UIN's once opon a time were double crewed...I kind of miss The Abby and wtf was the name of the Irish Brewpub...and the two places down on the river...and there is always the 24 oz can from the gas station, the burger from wendys and back to the room for supper...

Rented a car once in BRL and drove down to UIN to party with the crew there one saturday...smoking stogies in a rented convertable...with a designated driver! Don't get much better than that!

Ya got to make your own fun man!

RV's are a blast..

I've got a -6 for sale.. :)

They still have CE on the tail.. :D
Haha, beat me to it. We still have a few three-airline planes. They say "Corporate Express" on the tail, "Corporate Airlines" on the fuselage, and "Operated by RegionsAir" next to the pax door.

Anyone ever heard of anything like this ever happening at another "airline?"

It was essentially record keeping that killed Value Jet...the Feds take it really seriously.

Tram, I'll offer you a POS Jetta and $500 for your RV. Sorry, I haven't recovered any better than that from 6 years at CEA!

Let the bidding begin!

Tram, I'll give you my neighbor's 1993 Mercedes 500 series. It's really nice!
