AAI is a stepping stone job
You're kidding yourself if you believe this pilot group, including the FOs, will vote to approve a deal that knocks a relatively senior captain like Ty out of his seat. The idea of any captain losing his seat is absurd.

AirTran is not a stepping stone job for the vast majority of AirTran pilots. Yes, there are some guys who decide to move on to something else, but those are few and far between. Most guys came here with the intent to make this their career. Many of us never even applied to SWA.
What part of "Please don't discuss this stuff on the web" don't you Airtran guys understand?

Can you or any other AT guy put some real numbers to how many pilots left AT over the last ten years? (I'd bet SWAPA can ) I'm sure AT has been a career airline since the industry's music stopped in 2008, but before that, not so much. And for those who proudly proclaim they never even applied to SWA, be honest, was it only because of the 73-type?

We have well over 160 AT guys at SWA. That is 10%. I would hardly say they are few and far between.
Over 17 years that's about 9 a year or less than 1 a month. The significance of this is subjective.

Hopefully these trannies will pull their heads out of their butts sooner rather than later. It's painful to watch them with very little leverage piss away their golden lottery ticket. Take the staple and count your blessings. You could end up with jack squat.
