Maybe they will start paying for flights and hotels also soon,
We just opened registration for a Regional Jet Job Fair in the LAX area for Friday, March 21st.
With the current regional pilot recruitment market, FAPA.aero has decided that pilots will be PAID $25 TO ATTEND this Job Fair...
So a little birdie told me that Skywest now has a "creed" all the pilots have to learn and recite in groundschool. 1. Is this true? and 2. If it is true, can someone post it on here?
Rumor is that OO is going to charge to do a background check for non-US citizens every time they show up for a PC. Apparently a new charge and regulation put in place by the TSA. Dont know all the details, but it seems OO should eat the cost rather than make employees pay for it.

Ual is changing the upgrade policy for frequent fliers, so they will automatically be upgraded if there is room. I think that first class will be more rare than ever domestically now.

Yes, an airline is finally charging a fuel surcharge. But wait, not for the normal passengers, but rather for buddy pass riders. What a crock, when are employees going to stop subsidizing travel for people!
I love how bush wants to increase the fee for bumping a pax because it has not kept up with inflation. Does that mean airlines get to jack up the ticket price to match inflation?
Another guy brought this up on the SAPA board and I tend to agree. If Skywest votes NO on this union drive, I think that Skywest will never again (or at least in the next 10 years or so) have to worry about a union drive. They will tell the pilots to piss off whenever we look for improvements...
Skywest lost a wrongful termination lawsuit this week. They have been ordered to reinstate the pilot with backpay and all attorneys fees.
How much do you think this will cost Skywest? I say at least 2 million, if you count in all the back pay, attorneys for both sides, court costs, pay for...
Alright....I know that all the regionals are desperate for pilots, but for gods sake take the pretty sunglasses off your head when you are walking around the job fairs and talking to prospective employers!!!!
