Yes, an airline is finally charging a fuel surcharge. But wait, not for the normal passengers, but rather for buddy pass riders. What a crock, when are employees going to stop subsidizing travel for people!

Relax, it's just for airline spouses who tip the scales above a deuce and a half.

Problem with fuel surcharges, they have to be listed under the total price for the ticket, not hidden away like other industries. Some time ago, congress passed a law that ticket prices have to include hidden charges like fuel surcharge. So when Joe cheaparse goes to buy a ticket he doesn't fall for the bait and switch, 10 ticket, with a 300 dollar ticketing /fuel charge fee.
Reduction of capacity is the only way out of this mess, its the law of supply and demand.
