Best and worst airline uniforms
I don't know why everyone likes Delta. The double-breasted suit looks real good, along side the AMC Pacer with the 8 track stereo and the bell-bottom pants. I think it's about time airlines bring uniforms into the 21st century. At least JB is aiming in the right direction in terms of uniforms. -

If you want accurate, up-to-date info on CX, pprune.org is the best place to obtain it. By the way, they paint an entirely different picture than what's been described here... -

Jumpseaters able to ride in the spare FA jumpseat is a fact...I believe I read this on our ALPA website. -

What's the frequency of those flights General? Delta may go to more cities but Delta does not have the most flights to Europe nor do they carry the most people overseas either. United and American still carries more people across the Atlantic than Delta. Delta likes to do one flight per day... -

Well said. I've been saying this for years and I've been getting a lot of flak for it. Nobody wants to face the fact that Boeing does not want to make civilian airplanes anymore. Rather, they want lucrative government defense contracts.- House_X

General, I'm trying to bust on Delta and I'm not trying to make this personal...but the reality is Delta has a very poor international presence when compared to other legacy carriers. I can't name one geographical area that Delta dominates in. Let's take a count... Latin America: American... -

What about the Skyteam concept???...I guess now they will compete with their former codeshares... If I really want a cheap fare to Europe with hot F/A's I'm going to Virgin. If I want first class service, Lufthannsa, BA, Air France...the list goes on and on. Asia? I'll go with Cathay, ANA... -

How are they going to get more slots in Asia and Europe? The Asian and European markets are even more competitive than here in the states. United and Northwest have all the slots in China and Japan locked up in terms of US carriers. Europe...forget it...too many European carriers. Yes... -

I'm willing to bet that Delta is going to do everything humanly and non-humanly possible to dump the Dorniers on us. And you can also bet they are going to do it at the last minute when the clock strikes 12 on November 2nd. I don't see any financial incentive for Delta to take the jets...I... -

Skywest ASA Comair Air Wiskey ACA The above 5 have about the same pay rates and they are the top in the industry in terms of CRJ pay. In terms of workrules...Comair and ACA are the best. I would like to add that Comair and their pilot group paved the way for these rates...- House_X

I think it's too early to tell regarding cost saving. You are correct regarding proceedures. I'm looking forward to getting on the CRJ and flying to some class bravo airports...this CVG to EVV, TOL, and DAY $UCK$!!!! -

DoJetMX-hahahahhahaaaaa...I like the Dornier in Indepenedence air colors.... I wish we were getting rid of the CRJ as well. An all Airbus fleet or bringing in the emb-190 is the only way were going to make it in the long term. I don't buy into our CASM numbers...we need bigger airplanes... -
DAL JS on International Flights?
I think you won't be able to jumpseat...the jumpseat(s) will be occoupied by the relief crew. I think DAL 767-300 has one jumpseat only. The 777 has 2. I would buy the non-rev ticket....plus Moscow could be a cluster f'k for jumpseating...the gate agents could screw you over... Do you speak...- House_X

I think Hainan (Taiwan?) put in a bid for 20 of em... and Skyway is getting 10. Skyway was really using our sim a lot, now they stopped. I think the rumor on financing trouble is sounding more concrete each day.... -
