Jumpseating is allowed on US and Canadian carriers that your airline has agreements with. The occasional foreign captain may be able to convince the gate agent to give you a seat, but this is pretty rare. I assume EVA does not have the right to sell seats on the SEA-NYC leg, which would...
Thanks, I did not know that. It seems most majors have 20+ code share partners these days, so I assumed it was automatic and out of the union's purview.
Are you sure about that? If he paints them up as "Republic Airlines" and sells his own seats, what's stopping him from starting a code share with UA? I don't think the UA pilots got a say in whether or not UA code shares with US, LH, or anyone else not painted in UAX colors.
The $h1t bird. PHX-PDX on HP back in the day. A very "rural" fellow. Drunk as a skunk. I was in the window seat, he was in the middle and effeminate (wussy, not gay) software engineer in a skin tight light sweater was in the aisle. Apparently this fellow's 19 year old girlfriend (he was in...
Yeah, that.
As long as you don't need to occupy the actual AND can find an agent who knows what they're doing you should be good to go. Done it before on US carriers with success. Many us airlines also have agreements with Air Canada.

After it became clear that there was no way around the glitch in the short run the SkyWest J/S coordinator made some kind of stink and now we ride for free until the glitch is fixed. Have you talked to yours? If not, make sure he has talked to ours, maybe y'all can get the same. Its not as...
When jumpseating you will go to the back of the line. Fine if you can get the actual, but if a mainline guy grabs that you go behind the family on buddy passes for a seat in the back.
I was doing okay at PDT, until I crossed paths with her and the late LB. Every conversation with them was motivation to send out an app or study for interviews. I probably never would have left without that extra push they gave me. I hope SBY enjoyed paying to train, recruit and give a bonus...
FWIW you can get her on your delta bennies with none of the above- just call her your travel companion, enter her full name and birth date and you're set.
