    EJA I.O.E. after aircraft training?

True, but its still only like 37k or so...still nothing to write home about...I'm not complaining. I'm just saying that it would be nice to be able to make some extra cash. So I'm happy to be able to fly on the side at $300-$400 a day. beytzim

    EJA I.O.E. after aircraft training?

Cool! I'll definitely do that! Making 28k ain't gonna cut it, so moonlighting will be a HUGE plus. beytzim

    EJA I.O.E. after aircraft training?

When you were waiting at home for the month and a half for IOE were you on 'reserve' for 7 days a week, every day, until you got a call. In other words, could you have moonlighted at all during those six weeks? beytzim

    another messy EJA app.

I hand-wrote mine and got hired - but that was prior to 9/11.

    United willing to fold Avolar

Your enthusiasm is admirable, but quite unrealistic. 1300 pilots in 3 years. Please. A major airline with its training department in full swing has a hard time doing that. If Avolar hires 500 pilots in the next 3 years - you should be the happiest guy in the world. Good luck bro.

    Classic Interview Question

you guys are making a easy solution quite complicated. it's simple, below DH tell ATC you're going missed. Then the interviewer says, "what happens if he continues nevertheless" Don't fight over the controls unless its a life-death situation. Simply raise the gear!. There is not enough time...

    Newbie going for EJ

Welcome. Sorry about Emery, (I'm an ex-Kitty Hawker myself). Good Luck on all your endeavours. Atleast you'll be flying in daylight. Here's the wierdest thing on flying corporate jets: The FBO people actually like you! They even smile and everything! And a lot of them are pretty - not the...

    EJA a Major?

It seems pretty cut and dry to me: $1.8 billion in sales, 400 airplanes, 1400 pilots....sounds like a major to me! Let's see: UPS, FedEx, Alaska, Continental, oldTWA, America West, Airborne Express.....they are majors - but EJA is bigger. Don't forget that up until a few years ago, commuters...

    EJA a Major?

Just wondering if anyone has ran the numbers to see if EJA is a jet/national/major category? What is EJA worth right now? If not hitting the $1 billion mark, iwhen will it happen? They got as many airplanes as Continental or America West.... beytzim

Is moonlighting ok at EJA? Do they allow pilots to fly part time for hire on their days off? What is their policy? Is it enforced? Thanks, beytzim

Cheap Place to Stay for EJA Newhires

Hey guys, my buddy is a Mesa CRJ Captain living in Columbus. He has graciously offered an empty bedroom in his apartment for weekly rent for EJA new hires. Hundred bucks ($100) a week, and the apartment is as close as you can get to the airport. That's a lot cheaper than getting a hotel...

Which Cell Phone rates are best?

I had AT&T last year. Coverage was about 90% of the country. Custumer Service was awful. They screwed up my bill three times in a row. I cancelled as soon as I could. I got Verizon about six months ago. I have 99% coverage as it uses all AT&T antennas and Verizon antennas. Customer...

    eja washouts

It may seem surprising that a 5000 or 7000 hour pilot will fail a checkride in an Ultra. So of course it must be EJA's fault. In my company, a Part 135 Learjet operator, I fly with many different pilots - some of whom have thousands of hours in the Learjet itself. I must say that some of...

    EJA Pay

Just curious if anyone knows the typical (I know that's a silly term) flight in the Hawker 800xp? Thanks, beytzim
