    Lightweight Headset

I tried the 750s and was missing radio calls every 5 minutes. I use the 850s now and like them well enough. There is still some wind noise above 300 knots indicated but you get over it. I can usually get away with having Com 1 and the intercom on half volume. It's nice not worrying about...

    My 1:30 seconds of fame!

Nice work Kathy! You really are the epitemy of a person whose mission is to help people in times when few are willing. PS...which Rousch driver will win the cup: Kenseth, Martin, or Busch? Hopefully none of the above, although I'll root for Mark in the end. I'll put money on 24, history is on...

    Comair Calling

What's the matter Stan? Don't wanna hang with T-dog for another semester? Hope they get you out of there soon. Just got back from my first trip today. Cool beans! I thought about you fellas this morning when we passed over CRG. But hey, I wasn't an ass like the rest of em by calling on the freq. :)

DAL may offer pilots equity stake for concessions

Dude, why are you watching male gymnastics? I heard via ESPN that the American dude kicked two South Korean's little asses? And they had the audacity to accuse the judges of favoring the American. Well, we protect your sorry ass little country for 50 years, and maybe we should receive something...

DAL may offer pilots equity stake for concessions

Come on man, who retired on 9-10? Either you're smarter than Notradamus, or in cohoots with the enemy! If you had said, "the guys who retired at United in the spring/summer of 2001 got a bundle," then I'd agree, it was good timing. Just picking on ya. You probably meant "before" instead...

    Colleges Football?!

So I jump ship in Hong Kong and make my way over to Tibet, and I get on as a looper at a course over in the Himalayas. A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing...

    Colleges Football?!

I sure hope not! Fortunately Furman spends most of its grants and donations on academics, whereas the athletic budgets for the big D1 schools are simply astronomical. No wonder the bowl games continue, the ADs love the payouts, and would take huge hits in their pocketbooks without the bowls...

    Epaulet Question

In spirit of the Olympic Games, gold goes to first place, silver second place, bronze third place. What? What did I say? Just going along with Deez humor, that's all. Who the hell wears bronze?

And when exactly has MTSU done anything in sports? Bueller....Bueller....

    Colleges Football?!

Oh please, if it were'nt for 2002, you'd have to go back to 1970. I'm sure people still talk about the Hayes era in Buckeye country.

    Colleges Football?!

They play Clemson every year and always lose, but 9 out of 10 years are ranked in the top 25 Div 1-AA. Not bad for a rather small school (2600 vs Clemson's 16000). 1988 national champions.:)

    Colleges Football?!

Yep, the BCS system sux, but we're stuck with it, for now. 1AA, DII and DIII all do playoffs, and works pretty well. I'd like to see it for D1, but the networks are scared.

    Colleges Football?!

ACC is gonna be tough with Florida State, Miami, and Virginia Tech all in contention for the BCS; and Georgia Tech and NC State knocking on the second tier doorstep. The football fans hate the new ACC, but the basketball fans are lovin it, more wins against the newbies, means higher seeds in March.

DALPA DFW LEC comments on ASA/CMR

I've flown a lot in the past 3 years as a passenger all over the country and I'll take an RJ seat over a coach seat anyday especially on the legacy carriers. First of all, no chance of a middle seat, which I dread, and second, RJs are usually much faster to deplane if you have a close connection...

First 121 Job. How much did you Study?

It all depends on what works for you based on experience. I'm gonna say 0-5 hours depending on the day and how you like to study (and what type of test you're studying for; written, oral, or check ride). Are you a crammer or do you like to feel ready a week in advance? You have to take at least...

    Comair Classes

It comes out to around $800 per month net after taxes, better have a little savings available (although this is way better than pre-strike). There is no problem finding a place to stay, lots of flyers in the tech center, Flight Safety, and Ops. Most people will go out of their way to help...
