If you are talking about the more senior group of FOs from this current upgrade round and the previous then yes, the bust rate was high due the to the reasons I laid out before. For the rest of the upgrading FOs the bust rate is nowhere near that bad. It really is not that hard to pass upgrade.
Hold for release is fine. However if crews are receiving a void time and accepting it while still at the gate there is a problem that needs to be addressed.
Just an FYI... We have had a pilot apply to Us Airways and get an interview date only to have it rescinded and the pilot was told that he may not interview till March because he is Wholly Owned. Even if a WO wanted to apply, he/she cannot get an interview.
Ok, I guess I'm retarded because I don't see how the numbers will add up to be the same. The first question they ask is for your total fixed wing time which, in my apparently incorrect view, means ALL flight time (PIC, SIC, non part 1 PIC etc.). In the questions that asked specifically for...
Hey mamba,
Don't go making deals for the rest of us on here. You haven't been at PSA long enough to know what a complete and utter sh*thole PHL is. CLT on it's worst day is far and away better than PHL on it's best. Not only is the ramp better and the delays less, but the weather is warmer...
Careful now. The anger you have needs to be directed at those MEC/LEC officers in power at the time our contract was voted in (Toothe & CO.). The company has been laughing all the way to the bank since they voted that POS in.
Mamba, when you talk of "worthless union" I hope you are not...
The answer is yes, they do. In fact they are quick to point out that they have degrees in business and we are just pilots so we wouldn't know how to run an airline. If you think I'm kidding, ask them. They will tell it to your face.
To be honest...I dunno. The only thing that has changed recently is the addition of the CEL pilots to the J4J ranks. If the mainline MEC expects us the line pilots to be friendly to them (professional yes but not friendly) then they can kiss our a$$. Aside from that there is no difference in...
Let me guess. You are one of those guys who bids to fly only on the -700 because it makes you feel important right? Look, from a pilot standpoint the -700 is a good airplane when compared to other regional jets. However, unless you are 5'4" or shorter the aircraft is terrible as a passenger...
Just an FYI for those of you who think calling in fatigued is an easy call consider where I work. We have a "no Fault" attendance policy whereby any call off duty sick/fatigued/dead is a mark against you. I'm not saying it is wise, but when the choice is between your job and flying tried most...
...30+ years ago they were sleeping with anybody and dropping acid like it was candy. Supprise, supprise they sucked as parents and their kids are f*cked up. You older generations raised us and taught us our values so if you have a problem with us, blame yourselves. MTV doesn't raise kids...
Because there are thousands of people who "fly for fun" and will do it for very little wage. These are also the same people who will take pay-cuts/no raise to fly more/larger aircraft so they can protect their already low paying job. Idiots all of them, and us as well for calling this a...
Go to Comair if you have a choice. Neither seem to have any advancement in the future but Comair will get you more pay with more time off. Go to PSA only if you enjoy abuse from managers and schedulers who could not care less about you.
