The guy who did submit BB for a name actually did so a couple of years ago. He was "spoken to". He's the one guy who get away with submitting it too.
Dog,
You're correct, no more trips to France. Just your name on a plane for braggin rights.
Happy landings,
fr8dog is absolutely correct:
From the FCOM: "Failure to complete the 3rd upgrade attempt may result in termination."
I can think of 5 or so who have chosen to stay in the right seat after their unsuccessful attempts.
Everyone else is a QOL issue.
Happy landings
Hey Albie,
As usual, I always appreciate your insightful comments! As you know, I usually lurk and seldom post. Unless I have a unique take on an issue or insight others might not have (and lets face it, I never have inside gouge), I keep my comments to myself.
However, I will add to...
No on the uploaded winds. Insert history and also type in the average. When you get airborne, pull up winds aloft and insert those. We also have a WinnView program that you can pull up in your hotel rooms as well as the crew room prior to each day of flying that gives you radar, turbulence...
Hey Sonic,
Welcome to B6! Since so many of us are US Air furloughed pilots, with our own training aids. I took all of my gouge down to MIA (yes, this dates me 4 years for my initial training). Since our program has improved significantly in those 4 years, you really don't need to bring your...
BlueJuice,
The critical question everyone is neglecting to ask: What is your seniority? Now, if you're senior to me my response is much different.
Actually, where you're commuting from is the real question. I live in LAS and commute on us regularly. AmWest (oops, US Airways I mean) and...
LJDRVR
The original article I read on the FOX site yesterday certainly named numerous names and gave examples of the incidences of his involvement. Of course, I can't remember their names now. Only his. Figures.
Happy landings
I've got a great print "Gathering of Eagles" from 1985 hanging in my son's room. Guys like Boyinton, Yeager and yes Cunningham are represented with a drawing of these "aces", their squadron patches and their signatures.
These men were my Dad's stick buddies and my heroes. What a waste. How do...
Flipper,
You're missing the point of the blue shirt. It brings out the blue in your eyes. Come to think of it, it does the same for mine.
Happy landings,
Flipper,
We just watched the skit last night. My personal favorite was the spontaneous combustion of the fire trucks.
On another note, LA went into Phase 2. He e-mailed a couple of times and left a phone message as well. I thought he probably already called you to let you know. Sounds like...
Hey Albie,
I never left. However, unless I can add additional, positive input to a thread, I don't engage. Too much flak flying around on these forums. Many more people are more eloquent and certainly more intelligent than I.
But thanks for thinking of me. I always keep track of your posts...
The official numbers are 107 of 161 were passed into Phase 2.
Guam,
Potentially, some might be offered class dates in mid October. The E-190 classes are full for Oct, but that could change as the dynamics of the pilot's needs change.
Happy landings.
Mamma,
I just flew with one of the junior F/O's out here. He's been waiting 1 year to get into LGB. Looks like the junior pilot is mid 800's (out of roughly 1200 pilots). We've got about 12 or so real senior F/O's who are still in the right seat vs. the left. Mostly due to quality of life...
Frac,
This is the general idea on the instructors. We have a lot of retired pilots as full time instructors. We also complement that group with our own F/Os. They are all on a full time basis as well. The F/Os make $65,000 to start with an 18 month commitment (I think those are the numbers...
Flipper,
I think at this point (teething) we've been advised to use some scotch. Of course, that's advise from all the fighter pilots we know. Sound familiar?
Hope the flying is going well. Catch you on the air stairs.
Happy landings.
