slightly confused, what is ALPA asking for that hurts the junior, which would be nothing new, just wondering what it is specifically?

They aren't doing anything to hurt the juniors that I'm aware of.

Actually the number was 263.

Supposedly the requested settlement was designed to meet the expectations and promises made to the AT pilots when they passed the AIP2. 15 overnighting 717's was all that was promised, that equates to 263 Capts.

I'm not saying I totally agree with it...

Lame. Pathetic. What was agreed to was ALL the ATL and TBA 717 CA seats. They should have requested the equivalent number of seats, and let the Arbitrator rule, not try to do part of his work for him. Likewise, those awarded ATL 717FO should also have ATL rights.

Ship of Fools.

Very sad, very sad.

Nothing in this profession or personal life is worth taking your own life. My father committed suicide 17 years ago... and the pain never goes away.

If anyone reading this ever feels that despondent, please reach out and ask for help.

There are ALWAYS people who care about you.

God Bless Maxblast and his family.

Awful news. We clearly disagreed on many things related to union business, but I considered him a friend, and I'll miss seeing him around the crew lounge.

So sad. These things are only temporary. Nothing is that important. So sorry for his family. what a terrible loss.

Wow, he just flew me up to work a few weeks ago. I said hello to him...he seemed to be in good spirits.
