...Overall, it was a lively discussion that didn't do too much damage to anyone's ego.

Why did you want it red and next time pay attention.

Gret, Ur awesome! Thanks for the summary, I asked for it in RED so I could find it if there were 40 more posts before I looked. 10/250 is a great goal, but we have to keep raising the bar every three - five years. So what will the 2017 CBA pay scale be? F111? First year FO pay $111k? Or 3/152?

If you have to tell the world how great you are, you are not great and look foolish.

Can I quote you next time someone tells me I should be quiet because I'm lucky to be living in the greatest country there ever was?

Good afternoon...you have rights to any of my quotes...and you don't even have to attribute them back to me!:)

Hope all is well...rooting for the Giants tonight and A&M next Saturday!

What are you so AFAID of gret???? Are you nervous that owners will write letters to Warren exposing the truth? We are responsible for more lives and real estate than any other profession. The more you continue comparing us to bartenders and coal miners; the more idiotic you appear.

Why do you refuse to tell us your profession ??? Everytime I ask, you run away and hide, you wuss.

My goodness...nobody is comparing pilots to bartenders or coal miners from a professional standpoint. Someone commented that the risks associated with a career in aviation were greater than others and their contribution to society was without equal. I felt differently and thought that teachers, nurses, firefighters, and policemen made greater contributions because they educated our children, helped us when we were sick, and protected us from the bad guys. To me, having bad guys shooting at me or going down a mile deep mine carrys greater risk.

As disclosed previously, I'm a cross dressing juggler from Pattaya trying to make a living here in the US for my wife and children. I spend time on FI to learn English and humility from my heros.

I looked up "wuss" in the Urban Dictionary and you shouldn't call people names likes this that you don't know.:(

Only if you can name one better.

Knew that would bring out the easily agitated and terminally brainwashed...and in only 17 minutes no less.

How bout New Zealand, Australia, Germany, Switzerland and everywhere else where God and Flag nutters don't threaten the rest of the population constantly with their half backed neurotic paranoia.

Forgot Sweden and Norway...Costa Rica is very nice.

Since gret kindly allowed:

Nobody is knocking the choice of one’s profession, but making a determination of one’s personal worth to mankind is self serving….and using it as a basis of setting compensation is absurd….which is what some knuckleheads are trying to do with comments that NetJets pilots are superior to other aviators and have very unique skill sets that nobody else possesses (i.e. airline, Part 91, and charter pilots). Really? I mean you actually think this way and believe it?

Arguing the point of who benefits mankind more is silly…this isn’t even close! Someone who takes care of you when you’re sick or educates your children is far more valuable to society than a person who flies an airplane, sells insurance, prepares tax returns, etc. Not to mention the relative higher worth of firefighters, policemen and women, or a highly qualified bartender.

The comment about career risks applies to most professions and is not a difference maker.

Yes, most pilots could have become successful teachers, nurses, etc…obviously a few didn’t and made the wrong choice becoming pilots and thinking everyone would marvel at their genius and back up the trucks with loads of money.

Make as much as you can…but stop with the hubris that demeans us all.

Society doesn’t guarantee you your dreams…or anything else.

Gretchen,

Please read your own words.... You clearly have no respect for aviators. Why
Do you come on here and post? I believe you are management. REAL MEN don't run away and hide when asked a simple question. What do you do for a living?
(Besides a cross dressing juggler, your words not mine)

I see you on here Gret. What do you do for a living? Will you run away and hide again, real man?

You were on here looking at this post for 20 minutes and no response!!! You are not a pilot, you are a FAKE and a PHONEY! You will not even tell us what you do for a living. Most of us here are transparent including, the pilots, the owners and the dispatchers. At least we have the balls to be REAL.... You, however, are nothing but a pompous ass lecturing to all of us about how we should act. Who do you think you are????

The words speak for themselves and if you've chosen to draw a conclusion to fit your agenda, so be it. If you wish to share your opinion, debate is welcome and maybe you can put forth facts that will educate us all.

Can't help you if you chose to act like an overly sensitive katoey who broke a nail when not everyone falls into line with your way of thinking.

If you have to ask for respect, you don't deserve it...and won't get it. I have a very high opinion of of pilots, especially those that came from the military and joined the corporate world. My experience working with them has been a pleasure.
