Arguing with GL is like a self sucking dild0. It might sound like a good idea but there is a lot of saliva being wasted and flailing around but in the end you have nothing.

I really enjoy my job.

Bye Bye---General Lee

Which is mowing the lawn, and taking the garbage/recycling out. Don't worry after some more therapy you will finally be able to get that job at the pizza parlor cleaning tables and doing the dancing sign thing at lunch time.

General, have you ever visited Belfast? Quick train trip north. Fun things to do include a walk down the Falls Road late on Saturday night singing "God save the Queen"
Go on, give it a try. Locals do it all the time. Very warm and welcoming people there.
Have fun in Ireland.

Your friend, the very sober Irishman.

Can't do any of those things on google earth from his basement lair....

I am General Lee, I think that swa has to fly a million legs to make serious $$$.
Bye Bye---General Lee

I unfortunatly was shot-down by SWA, but I do know one thing:

The longer the legs the trip has, the more productive the trip is. The longer the legs, the less amout of legs. They get paid by mileage, not block time. As of a few years ago, the avg stage length was over 800nm.

SWA never served MEM. AirTran was the one flying ATL-MEM. I assume that service will not end, the new destinations will be in addition to ATL-MEM.

Ahem... in a vain attempt to return this thread to its original subject:

Looking at the SWA website shows five flights/day all flown by AirTran. I'm just surprised that you are dropping a very heavily traveled route and letting DAL have it all. Lot of FDX commuters going to be disappointed. We have a lot of ex EAL/DAL types living there.

Otherwise, good to see SWA serving MEM.

You may now return to the SWA/DAL bashfest.

Regards,
Fr8-

Your exactly right Remington.

The General is living in the 70's on this issue.

I have plenty of two leg days at SW. Like BWI-DEN-SAN. You can be in San Diego by noon local time. But none of the facts fit very well within the General's 'seven legs a day' mantra. He just shows himself to be really clueless when he tries to make this arguement about a company he doesn't work for.

Most trips are short three days. On an AM, you might have a early start on day one, but you're home by 2pm on day three (almost qualifies like a two day). Plenty of time at home with the family and that's fantastic.

Who flippin' cares what someone else flies??!! I have never understood this conversation. If someone asks what are your trips like, I can see it. Otherwise, you make yourselves just as dorky as the Gen.

What? I happen to have fun at home AND at work. I get to go on a "mini vacation" every week.

Bye Bye---General Lee

Wrong. Anyone who actually enjoys leaving their family is not as happy at home, there is no comparison between the two. And even equating leaving your family to a "mini vacation" is sick.
