What? I happen to have fun at home AND at work. I get to go on a "mini vacation" every week. I enjoy the layovers, the restaurants, the different scenery. You can't remember which 5 cities you hit yesterday. I have fun with my wife and family (usually fly 3 days on, 4 off), and actually smile when I arrive at the gate, heading off somewhere fun and interesting. The sundae along the way is a bonus. People can actually enjoy both their personal and professional lives. Enjoy your taco at the taco stand by the hotel.

Back to the "my overnight is better than your overnight" schtick again? Really? That's all you got? :p

I am going to bid 3 day trips to Venice next month. Hopefully, you get a Denver layover and a few Boise's. I bet it's getting hot in El Paso now, riiiight? You probably know.... Sundaes don't last long there probably...

Once you've seen Venice and Plaza San Marco there's nothing to see. The layover hotel sucks and so does the neighborhood it's in. The only good thing about VCE once you've been there is the value of the trip.

Do you work for SWA? If so, you have AM and PM trips, and they are usually incredibly productive. So, that means lots of legs, and that means not a lot of time for long tours. Sure, you probably could run out and see a monument, but day long tours are probably out of the question.

Btw, my category does domestic and INTL flying, but I prefer the Guinness tour in Dublin, the restaurants near the Eiffel Tower, or Ipanema beach in Rio. But I also did tours of Boston and DC myself, about 10 years ago.

Have fun on those 3 hour tours..... Don't rent a boat in Hawaii, oh wait, you guys don't......Nevermind.....

The Guiness tour is a rip off. Love walking around a third rate museum on how they brew beer. The pint at the top floor bar with a view is good. Paris is so overdone if you've been there half a dozen times. How about that bus ride to the hotel when your dog tired?

I never get tired of Venice, since we down South only get the trip in the Summer. The hotel isn't bad, and the ride into town isn't that bad either. I enjoy the food there and haven't had a boring or bad trip there yet in the last few years. That's why I bid it.

I enjoy the tour at the factory, plus the view. Paris is always enjoyable for me because I enjoy several restaurants that I usually go to. The hotel we normally stay at near the Eiffel Tower is ok, but the other two are better, but a bit farther away from the restaurants I usually go to, but the subway is easy. The weather is getting better, so that helps, and I can sleep on the bus ride in. (You gotta admit going from plane to hotel is nice, right?)

Hey, ScorecardII started it. But no Bubba, the layovers are just part of the overall package. I really enjoy my job, and I'm glad you do too.

Everybody's pretty sure you started it. But keep on going on the Guinness tour- over and over again I guess- my ancestors thank you

Delta guys saying the General is off base and wrong about all these luxurious overnights?

I actually appreciate their honesty to step forward and tell the truth...whether good or bad.

I don't say this often, but thanks Scoot and Dalad for speaking up.

Now, back to the General's regular BS..

The reason the DAL guys are depicting the real truth is because they have been there, whereas the Genny has not, only so much one can glean from google earth and the Internet. Genny doesn't even have a passport, doesn't need one living in his basement apartment. Inferiority complex, massive, that's what ginormous mantitties and a tiny Johnson will do to an individual. The Genny was one of those kids that showered in his under wear in high school.
