I would bet 95% of the passengers we haul out of MEM connect on to somewhere else. SWA is all about point to point markets (70% of SWA customers don't connect). SWA will identify the markets out of MEM that generate a high percentage of nonstop customers and fill that need with the appropriate amount of flights.Looking at the SWA website shows five flights/day all flown by AirTran. I'm just surprised that you are dropping a very heavily traveled route and letting DAL have it all.
That model has seemed to work OK since 1972.
