Yes, I deleted the offending post. I always delete posts that are a violation of the ToS then post a warning about it after taking action against the specific member.

He'll only be gone 72 hours, then he'll be back on again. I'm sure I'll hear ALL about the unfairness of it, but I moderate evenly in all threads. Period. That's why all his OTHER posts have been left alone. I'm not censoring. I'm moderating.

It's also one of the reasons I've backed off responding to most posts unless they're directed at me specifically. It's difficult to moderate AND try to post opinion in threads, so I'm backing off the posting of my specific thoughts unless called out like previously in this thread.

No, he's not. Not in the way Bob attacked Ty personally in one of his posts. You can disagree with someone and tell them they're delusional WITH THEIR THOUGHTS ON THE SUBJECT, out in left field, whatever, but direct personal slams that have nothing to do with the issue, including profanity, are blatantly against the ToS.

As I said, I've left all the other posts from Bob alone, even though I disagree with them and have refrained from posting back to him. The rest of his thoughts on the subject are still up, but his personal attack is gone. I've also refrained from deleting other posts and threads that have personally singled me out, because I don't censor. What I've posted remains up. Period. Even if I don't like how it's being used now. That's the rule, and I stick by it.

And I agree with you 100%. That's why I've said, repeatedly, that I hope we can come to an agreement that's fair and have a great working relationship as coworkers moving forward.

Bob, however, doesn't work for EITHER carrier, and has had a fun time pitting one side against the other for days. I haven't done ANYTHING about those posts, because they were all within the ToS, even if they were obvious attempts to incite people to argue and fight.

However, when he broke the rules, he was given some time off. Just like anyone else who breaks the rules. I didn't PERMANENTLY ban him, just gave him a few days to think about how you debate on here. It can get heated, yes, but you don't go off-topic with your attack.

It really surprises me to see someone of your stature and obvious position in this industry, to be so bored with life, to log online and act like this, anonymously behind a keyboard.

Actually, I'm not trying at all to project any negativity towards my future coworkers. I'm just pointing out that when it comes to what people expect from a career at any given airline, they will always move in the direction that they think increases the quality of their career. Since no one (except maybe one fired SWA dude - unsubstantiated) moved in the direction SWA to AAI but there are plenty of examples of the opposite, then it seems fairly unanimous which airline the pilot community would rather work at as a whole (with respect to these two). As they say, the proof is in the pudding. But only because we have better pay, better workrules, better QoL, better management, better benefits, better.....it's nothing personal, just better. And for the record, I intentionally did not put "better pilots" or "better people" because I don't believe that at all. So, please don't try to imply any negativity to my posts Ty, that truly would be the pot calling the kettle African American. :laugh:

That's called an anecdote, and it's not going to impress an Arbitrator.

How many SWA pilots left SWA to go to UAL, CAL, Delta, American, USAir? Things change. Contracts change. The industry changes. Seniority within the list doesn't change.

A handful, literally. Our attrition rate since the start of SWA has been lower than any other carrier as supported by public filings. What has AirTrans attrition rate been? 5-10% annually?

The good new for all AT pilots is that you will no longer be looking for another job. No matter where you fall I'd wager you will likely stay here until retirement. It is that good here. Welcome aboard.
