Have you ever seen a human baby? Yes, every man is born with a small penis. And small fingers and toes and a button nose. In fact, the only thing that's full-size when you're born are your eyeballs.

Oh, and just so I can say something on topic, back in the late '90s through 2001 many pilots hopped from major to major. There used to be a poster here named G4G5 who bragged about jumping from NW to AA to DL. Not worth it IMHO but who am I to judge.

You have never flown a large plane, so you will continue to feel that way. It is great you love going home so much, just hope your marriage doesn't fall apart and then you will be stuck flying that light twin, back home all the time. Your view is very myopic, since you fly RJs. A 737 is huge to you. If you were already flying widebodies and then got bumped down to a smaller plane (like I did when the company went away) you would feel different.

I don't know, I got "bumped" out of the DC8 and fly a citation now, QOL of 10000 times better and the pay is about the same. An airplane is an airplane, being home with the family and making a descent living are important to me.

i keep noticing the phrase 'descent living'. what does this mean? is it a life that always goes downhill? i just can't figure it out.

I only use the rudder to come across the circle and shoot the other guy, or if I'm in a flat.

Maybe CAL should quit typing the new hires in the 737. I guess that would stop the pilots from getting the type rating and leaving.

Who cares about the size of the airplane or the layover...I'm in this job for money.

Just wait until you've racked up more than 950 hours. Layovers and yes, even the size of the airplane can make a big difference in your life away from home.

At this point in your life you are concerned about the size of the aircraft you fly, you obviously don't have one. Time off is the most important thing to me, with the size of the airplane being around #1365. Sorry, but my family comes first and they really don't seem to care about how big the plane I fly is. You'll all figure this out one day, just hope it's not too late.
