I heard this pilot group was not differentiating between the Ot for legitimate reasons and or for corvette payments. They were just harassing pilots. YOu know regardless of their pay sometimes, we all know this, with kids things come up, tutors, camps, etc. and also sometimes people have to help support their parents etc. and co workers dont even know about it.

Do you guys differentitate before you hassle someone about working OT? Do you require a dr note or something before you think it is ok?

I think that both sides have their fair share of blame. The whole thing has been spun into a complete distortion of facts.

I don't get scheduling, the role of the chief pilots, the selling points of anyone in management nor the fact that the aircraft can't seem to be fixed. I don't understand why anyone would extend. I don't understand why anyone would start a list of extenders.

I don't understand why we have all these new Marquis cardholders, but no planes to fly them around in.

Yes, I believe that the Teamsters do damage in the name of their members just like a terrorist believes it is OK to hurt innocent bystanders. Yes I do believe that pilots, all pilots need livable wages and the Company has tried to give them an increase while in negotiations. But the Union Leadership has refused an LOA to boost FO wages. The Union has refused to let instructors recieve their increase. They want all pilots to bleed as much as possible because they want to do the whole contract the long way so they can manipulate the pilots and attempt to put pressure on the Company. Do you deny that the Union does not want anybody to work overtime?



The Company would not have to prove that the mediator did anything except that he was wrong. It is the American way to challenge a decision that one party believes is wrong. Isn't that why the Union challenged it? Who knows, maybe it will make it to the Supreme Court, 60 minutes and 20-20. It couldn't hurt your public relations program now could it? There is no darker side, no conspiracy theory, just the facts.

With all the pilots calling in tired these days, and the shortage of pilots, that alone shows NJA crews are not only getting equitable amounts but apparently are being scheduled too many flights... hence, your argument falls apart.

Since it was proven the "A Team" was a theory of your imagination, I guess you don't really have the right after all.

I guess it was a figment of my imagination when I was out as an FO, and we only had shows after 11am, only two legs a day, and hit the Caymans, Bahamas, Aspen, and all the hot spots. All in one tour. The CP even called the capt every day to ask us if we were having fun yet....

This was back when I didn't have a tour with less than three or four 14/10s and 5 -6 legs a day.

Got the same guy two tours in a row, and the same thing. Not that I didn't have fun, but it's a little naive to think that there was no A-team.

Now before you say it was a coincidence, had other buds that flew with this guy and the same thing. Smooth sailing compared to their other tours.

I've never really understood these overtime boycotts by unions.....they seem so counterproductive for a couple of reasons:

1. If the union members really are trying to prepare for a strike then they need to sock away all the money they can for the lean times. Unilaterally limiting your income just hurts that effort

2. An overtime boycott actually forces the company to become more efficient in its use of the available resources. Once the OT boycott has been abandoned, the 'normal' levels of OT are no longer available as the company has learned that it doesnt need it anymore

What do think the correct number of VPs, Directors, Managers, Supervisors, Specialists it takes to schedule, coordinate, book food, sell shares, maintain aircraft for 700 flights a day, every day? The company is wasting it's time and money. The arbitrator ruled. NJA lost. This company wastes more money fighting concepts when it should be concentrating on business. The only reason to push the point in Federal Court is for CYA reasons of future potential liability.

Even NJA's Security Chief assigned J a rating of 1 out of 10 (lowest) in terms of his threat to safety. NJA fired that Security Profesional for not going with the program.

I am sure that you have every answer too scheduling and management so why are you flying the line? If we wanted to be part of "management" then we would have concentrated our efforts towards that effect instead of learning to fly planes. Management is a job required by all companies but practiced very poorly by most (especialy this one).

Correct number of VPs? As few as possible.

He flies the line because he is a pilot. He was hired as a pilot. Pilot have tried to offer suggestions to "management" over the years to no avail. You guys are truly doing a "bang up" job there in CMH. Keep going. It's ben one hell of a train wreck so far and the view is just fine from up here.

Who's going to be more accurate? You, who flew a couple of tours with this guy (who knows what details were left out?). Or an outside private investigator who has his entire NJA flying history at his fingertips and interviewed all the schedulers to get all the facts?

1 advantage to having a Union.

Just making a point that it would not be appropriate for a Steward or other Local 1108 Official to represent a non member.

I'm sure, however, that if the Dispatchers and/or Schedulers of NJA would like representation in future cases that Local 1108 could provide Union signing cards that would enable you to do so.

It's simply a choice that only you can make. 1108 can't do it for you and would also have no power to do anything unless you do so.

You know nothing. I WAS PART OF THE INVESTIGATION AND I WAS ASKED BY THE COMPANY TO PROVIDE DOCUMENTATION. Boisture ADMITTED THERE WAS FAVORTISM. You don't know CRAP because you WERE NOT THERE.
