They could, but they could also open up maybe 30 or 40 domiciles, strategically placed, and a lot of guys would lose their HBA (90-milers). It's in our contract, the company can do that any time they want.
Let 'em. Just will park an RV 91 miles from the Domicile. Present home will be a crash pad.
 
I hope I fly with you, or other NO voters. I will do my job, as described in the FOM. I will not clean the cabin. I will not get the catering. I will do all of my duties in the cockpit, and when the passengers leave, I will be right behind them.

After the last flight, I will go to the hotel while you clean and restock the plane. And dont forget to put the engine covers on.

See you in 2010.

Please come fly with me, and pull that stunt. You would end up in CMH so fast it would make your head spin.

If you can't understand it is business and not personal, maybe you have some other issues that need addressed. I hear a bunch of other places are hiring, maybe you would be happier there.

You are missing the boat completely. Getting mad at NO voters because they do not want to sign away what took nearly 5 years to obtain is just plain dumb. You want to be mad at someone? Be mad at the ones who can ad those extra cities anytime they want, but won't unless we give up good schedules and home basing (yes, after Nov 2010 it is gone--I read the whole thing...have 2 months to pick 2 cities and move to one by 2010 or LOSE IT).
Don't be a sucker for a $7000-$10000 raise, it won't go far after taxes, etc....maybe $240 a period, and scheds has total control of your life. I think we have a good contract now. If they are hurting THAT badly, they'll add cities themsevles.
 
Section 13 is not the ONLY section we are voting on.

Section 13 change is regressive to all except current domicilers. B ut most of us would vote yes if it were all at stake in this vote.

But the changes to sections 10 & 19 suck.... as far as we know right now.

Only section 27 (of which we know nothing) can possibly mitigate the negative features we know about for 10 & 19.
 
The rumor I've heard about pay in IBB will seal ALL post-rats' votes as YES, regardless of any other negatives in the proposal. Not so sure about pre-rats, though. Sounded a little skimpy. Maybe the company's hoping we will vote for it simply out of a sense of guilt over the "bus we threw them under."

Couldn't have been said better, no matter what the company offers, it's for their benefit, not the employees.

Hint: First, check section 1 of the FOM for chain of command. Secondly, check section 4 of the FOM aircraft cleanliness. Do you expect someone else to do the homework for you?! :cool:

Do you really believe you could win this? Would an FO that was assigned to you at ACA win this?

This is the dumbest thing I have ever heard.

Let me get this straight, are you saying that you will refuse to provide our owners with the premium service they have grown to expect becasue you happen to fly with a Captain who voted against this IBB proposal? Is this what you are saying?

I wonder if you would have gotten this job if you had given any indication of how you really feel about this business.

This only hints as to what the domicile system has done to this Company.

I think spending an entire tour with you would be very interesting.

Awww, c'mon guys. You can't blame Ski for not being able to find something in our 3500-page FOM that's rapidly becoming bigger than our US Jepp binders!:rolleyes:

Ski, even if it wasn't outlined in the FOM, do you really think you'd have a leg to stand on? Here's a hint: after 10.5 years with the company, I can tell you plainly that you'd lose. End of story.

Gosh Ski, if I took your attitude, then if this thing passes and has things in it that I don't like, and I learn that you voted yes on it, then you wouldn't mind if I just left you to do everything and went to the hotel?

I can assure you, there would be no harrassment. One call and you'll be assigned additional IOE training so you understand your duties as an SIC. I'm sure that failing that re-training would not look good in your file and would make it difficult for the MEC to help you going forward.
