It amazes me that any seemingly intelligent people could actually argue with this. The fact that some pilots needed a couple of guys with a cable show to prove something so simple is just sad.

Let me guess: you were dumb enough to think that the plane wouldn't take off, weren't you?
 
What a surprise! Even Jamie seemed annoyed at how people couldn't "wrap their brains around" the fact a planes uses a prop to move and not its wheels. Can it be this myth is finally finished?

Perhaps a bit harsh, but you (and others) were correct. As soon as they did their explanation/demonstration with the RC car on the treadmill, I realized I was incorrect.

Some of us just needed to see it in model form to get it!
