Mythbusters, Plane on a treadmill..

Any more last minute opnions before Mythbusters tonight? For the record, I'll say the airplane won't be able to accelerate and there will be no motion in relation to an observer standing next to this airplane-treadmill contraption. The thing won't fly. I'll be back on here in an hour to either eat crow or do the "I told ya so" dance to everyone who thought it'd fly.

What a surprise! Even Jamie seemed annoyed at how people couldn't "wrap their brains around" the fact a planes uses a prop to move and not its wheels. Can it be this myth is finally finished?

Perhaps a bit harsh, but you (and others) were correct. As soon as they did their explanation/demonstration with the RC car on the treadmill, I realized I was incorrect.

Some of us just needed to see it in model form to get it!
