There has been a calculator attempted several times but the company won't release so much as a year of birth, even hidden behind a calculator app, citing "privacy". It's a crock. They just don't want us to have that information. Draw your own conclusions from that.

You've obviously drawn your own conclusion, but Lake Alice hits the nail on the head. The pilot group could of easily done this, but 50% were too lazy to even send an email.

I spoke with two of the pilots involved. The lack of responce was only a minor problem. The biggest problem was not the retirment part of the calculator, but more guys were trying to build an upgrade calculator. The attempted build was overcomplicated then shut down. The email that was sent out was meant to look like most of the pilots here don't want one.

So, if the info on this thread is accurate, 13 in the first March class and 9 in the March 16th class? Seems unusual to put an odd number thru, as then someone is left without a dance partner for the sim. So, can we assume there has been one no-show per class? How much notice are the no-shows giving? Night before, morning of?

Any chance that JB would put some poolies in a 'short call' for class? My position is such that I could literally be walking in the front door of the TC 2 hours out, and I'm sure there are others that could do the same.

Just a thought.

The class that started on the 16th has 9 new hires plus someone returning to training from an earlier class to make it an even 10 (they had to temporarily withdraw). I suspect something similar occured with the class of 13. I doubt no shows are an issue.

There are also Transition, upgrade, and Mil Leave folks that are at the school house too. They like to try and pair up new hires with some of these folks.
