You don't know what you're talking about.
Rac,
With all due respect, you are being sanctimonious. I interviewed at FedEx, didn't do a sim prep, didn't do an interview prep, except my own, and have worked here for five years......I was also hired by other airlines.....
Having said that, to EVERY GUY that I brought to a grip and grin, or guy that I have known that was coming to interview, I recommended Emerald Coast. WITHOUT EXCEPTION, they all said it was worth the money.
Albie....(using his porn screen name) is not an opportunist. He gives a money back guarantee. He doesn't teach anyone "Canned" stuff or gouge, more than anything he probably gives them a little confidence. (That....and I also heard his wife was hot!) As a side note, I was talking to a guy in an un-related field and he talked about how many people need "Grooming/Coaching" and are rusty at the interview game. There are plenty of people outside of aviation that do interview coaching/prep/career counseling. They provide the same service...I also think Emerald Coast preps people from all careers. (Unlike Kit)
The only guy that went to the sim and said that he didn't think he really needed it was a guy who teaches a simulator (different type) for another outfit. "But", he says.....I would hate to dork up a sim and lose the job over $400.00 (or whatever Albie Gouges....just joking.... had to get the gouge word there out of context, and thought it clever cause I insinuate falsely that you don't get what you pay for at Emerald Coast.
I did it without all that, and in today's environment, I wouldn't attempt an interview at FedEx without it....as long as you keep it in context. I think that anyone in today's environment would be a Jack@$$ if they didn't stack the deck in their favor. Kind of like taking a stand against the fairness of the "Grip and Grin" process....it is what it is. I am not on Albie's payroll...however I should hit him up for a frikin commission for all the business I've sent him. PFT, pay for interview prep.....who cares...the question to ask is was/is it a good investment after all, this is not "God and Country", this is business. Every one I talked to seems to be a satisfied customer...but what do I know?
