Yes, and what is the common denominator of these foreign airlines? They are all state funded or subsidized. I'll take us air carrier pilots over any foreign airline.

hey Puff you do realize that all gate and ramp agents at ATL for instance are DAL employees, and at outstations that ExpressJet flies to are a Delta Co (Reg Elite I think they're called). All we have are pilots, FAs, dispatchers, mechanics, and the G/O folks.

nb? You mean md88? Which nb? 320? 73n? All of them have different payrates. 12th year swa fo i think is about $152 an hour. What about wb rates? You must have a pretty good source because most of the reps are very quiet on this right now.

A TA with only 6 weeks of negotiations? My take is the company want's something big...i.e, they want to BUY something, and need to have their cost-ducks in a row before presenting their "offer" to "whomever".... See where I'm coming from?

So, they open with an offer to give the pilots, say, a 20 percent hourly increase, with 90% of that front loaded. I suspect a short-term contract, say 3 to 4 years with some growth promises as a result of their "new" acquisition....

In addition DL agrees to park the 50 seaters (that 'aint to give back by the way) in return for some more 76 or 90 seaters.

DALPA now has a massive hard-on for this new found "growth", a little bit of cash and promises of more big planes due to the type of flying this new acquisition is going to provide with a possible new base, etc...

And they in-turn sell it to the membership.

And it passes and the pilot group wakes up in the morning realizing they are now working for the wage they had 6 years ago or longer, if that!

About 30% pay raise across the board and scope was relaxed to some extent. Not sure on the rest of the details.

Less exposure to connection and their employees, along with more exposure to mainline and our employees will mean a more dedicated customer to Delta--willing to pay that higher price for their ticket/accessories.

Your kidding right. We live in America, when has the upper end of price determined sales. Have you seen all the Wal-Marts and McDonalds driving down the road. Or are you suggesting their being torn down and replaced with Macy's and Texas de Brazils?

The consumer is driven by ONE thing and that is PRICE!!! I have yet to see a passenger standing at my gate waiting for the more expensive Delta Pilot to show to take them to XYZ as I push back.
