Alright not to bust up the arguemnet here, but.....

Has anyone heard any new news regarding the furloughs, wasn't there supposed to be a meeting yesterday or something?

There was a meeting yesterday with various employee groups, our usual vague VARS message said there were no negotiations and there is nothing new to report.

Supposedly, management will have specific details on our "plan" by mid-week. Maybe tomorrow.

Plug, you are a sad and angry little man. Enjoy SkyWest, for as long as that lasts. Stop being such a bitter sh!t, you are now working for the people who put us all in this sinking ship known as the regionals. Hold your head up high, don't forget as you put it "times change".

cmrflyer,

Wow, you make quite the argument! -TIC-

Please tell me where in my posts am I bitter? My original post was geared towards those who think it everyone elses fault for the problems at CMR. I was merely pointing out the fact that CMR took a pay freeze right in the middle of our negotiations which only makes things that much tougher for us to obtain a fair contract. Now you want to poo-poo on us and say it was our fault that you had to sell yourselves to the devil (read: Fred Buttrell).

If you want to make an argument then do so, but if all you want to do is sit there and name call then just take your ball and go home.

For all of you follow this debacle, my post [#107] that FDJ2 attempted to quote did not contain the following words: Yes, the CMR pilots through their elected representatives slammed the door in the face of furloughed pilots seeking employment. Not sure how you were able to insert that in there, but those aren't my words, and the evidence is right above. FDJ2, you'de make a lousy reporter...

Actually, it was just a typo on my part, that should have been in blue, I went ahead and fixed it, obviously those are my words.

Perhaps you could justify that the MEC slammed the door, but certainly not the pilot group.

Your MEC represents your pilot group and speaks for your pilot group and that's a fact. If you don't like what they say or do, then it is your responsibility to recall them and get someone who does represent you. Enough said.

Will the bickering ever end?

It's getting immature and old.

Like two kids arguing in the back seat of a car.

P.S. not to mention it HIJACKS EVERY THREAD about Comair!!

Did anyone read the message on EPIC from Freddie Mac?

He says they're analyzing the bad news and want to get it all out at once next week now.

Great, we have to wait :(

Sometimes I get the feeling that not even management knows what they are going to do next.

News next week

Fred said more information next week. He did not sound too positive in his messsage. Now that Delta is canceling flights to save money on fuel, the block hours must have been cut even more. I wonder how many now? 500+ Jack Goodner said in BK there will be no sale of CMR. Without the ability to seek other flying, or being purchased, CMR has no way to survive.

This may have been covered in the previous 130 posts, but can someone post approximately how deep 300, 400, or 500 furloughs would go DOH-wise?

Several people I've worked with have gone to Comair and I'm curious about how they would fare with the furloughs. And I'm curious where I would be had I gone there after interviewing in 2001.

We don't know yet all of the above is still speculation. Should know something next week. But of course we were supposed to know something today. All bets are off.

So for now I guess the rumor stands at about 400 pilots?

Anyone hearing anything different?

I definitely don't like the 500+ and no sale of Comair from Jack Goodner rumors...

Anyone hearing anything else about the Q400 or is that dead too now?

Todays message that said they have recieved MORE information about network changes which will affect the number of aircraft and employees affected in the system sure doesn't seem to soften the blow.

Sorry to hear things are going to hell at Comair. I was furloughed from Independence Air in Jan.05' so I know the feeling. The good thing was I immediately went to Air Wisconsin and since I was current and qualified in the CRJ they put me through the short course. It only took 3 1/2 weeks from indoc to the check ride. If any one's interested, get you reseme over there. They can't find enough pilots to fill their classes and attrition is running rampant due to the domicile changes. In the 8 months I've been there I've gone up over 130 in seniority and right now I'm sitting at 745 on the seniority list.

Good luck.

I realize this is all speculation and nothing has happened yet but I was just curious where the cutoff would be if Comair did furlough 300, 500, whatever. 3 years with the company? 4 years? Again, I was just curious. I don't want to see anyone to get furloughed.
