OH....I get it....Cessna doesn't want to make money off of something they have invested millions in. Makes sense.

I guess it allows them to unload all those new, unsold airplanes that are roling off the assembly line instead of having them sit idle someplace.

DO-82 Driver, It just amazes me how smart you are. You managed to figure out exactly how CS runs there business. Stick to flying airplanes and leave running the business to the executives.

TRASH.....You missed theboat on that one. It was Bogey who gave us CS business model.

I'm just waiting for CS to post a profit.

Do-82,
I do HATE to admit it but Bogart has a point. Do you want the owners of a fractional contract seeing the company they are with showing a profit??? I would not if it was me. I would like to make a few million each year. Just over breaking even. If I started to see HUGE profits, I would think that I was getting hosed.

Anyways, I never believed any of the garbage numbers given out. We make money, I get it. Now just pay me.

Fozzy...I agree...I remember this topic coming up during the contract negotiations.

NetJets has turned a profit for 2 quarters now and I don;t see or hear of owners demanding their money back. They know they are getting the best survice in the industry and they like it alot!!!

I'm not saying a HUGE profit, but even a modest one means that monies can be used for expansion such as improvements to the overall operaitons for the sake of safety. (I am in no way saying CS has any type ofsafety problems)

As an owner I might be equally alarmed if I found out that the company flying me around is operating in the RED!!!! That brings on a whole different set of questions.

I was told that CS will be profitable by 2007, if not this year.

Another question...

On this requirement that you live within 2 hours of one of their designated airports: Does that mean two hours per mapquest, or do they actually expect you to be at the gate in two hours? LAX is why I'm asking...thanks.

They will accept any map program. There are many and they don't all agree. I know of one guy that lives in SAN for the LAX base. I bet there are times of the day that drive takes 3 or more hours.
