upgrade time?
Did I read this correct? Comair upgrades are about 8 months??? -
I bid trips like this!!
You will work less and get paid more...plus, you get to go home when your trip is over, instead of sitting at the airport waiting for a flight to go home. Not to mention the headaches of trying to commute to work...that'll be all gone. Your QOL will improve by 5X. -

Well...there goes all single engine operations out of the F alley again...just 2 months after it was approved I'm sure we'll get another memo in a few days saying no single engine taxiing anymore. Bah. -

Pensacola, Mobile?
My friend worked at a charter place in Mobile flying Citations, but he didn't recommend going there. The pay is so ********************ty, it was around $13k - $15k a year. He told me the boss knows that people only use the company for 1 year to build jet time and they leave, so in return he...- ilkwamh2

If we wanted to be a powerful unified force, ALPA needs to have 1 seniority list for all ALPA carriers. Having different lists at different ALPA carriers is ineffective. -

I would not go, the pay is not worth it and it sounds like you're not too excited about it. Not to mention your wife and family doesn't want you to go. Some carriers actually doesn't like it if you have A320 time from another place because you've been trained differently and it'll be a lot... -

Supply and Demand my friends...Law of basic econ. You can't get people to show up for class, you either lower your mins or give workers more compensation. I'm glad to say we're not lowering our mins. -

Most new hires will goto the Brasilia unless you already have jet time. Jr. Brasilia base is Fresno. If you are top seniority in your class, you might be able to get DEN or SLC. Some were able to get SAN, SBA in a few months. PDX is shrinking and unreachable. -

Comair is a good place to be if you live in CVG or JFK. I started class there last March and then left to come to SkyWest for the simple fact of not having to commute to work. I had no idea that Comair was going to furlough, but I am glad that everyone in my class there got recalled back, or... -
