Fellow Spirit Pilots,
As many of you are aware, at the next LEC 109 meeting on August 24th many of us are standing up for a leadership change by recalling Frank Hann, our current LEC 109 Captain Rep. This recall is not to be taken lightly, nor is it a...
Going on strike = magazine kudos, but not much more. Spirit struck, ALPA and the Spirit MEC caved, Spirit pilots still sit at the bottom of the chart. Nice going MEC. note: I'd name the MEC but they won't name themselves, signing their sporadic letters generically.
But Spirit did get its...
The FSDO Feds are pissed at a letter some Spirit pilot wrote it Oklahoma City complaining about unfair checkrides. Now the FSDO weinie is taking it out on line pilots. At least that's the word on the street.
As someone who has never cared where he fit into the career path we call "professional aviator", I've been corporate and airline. I've always taken the best job available at the time.. I happen to be Part 121 at the moment, but I always keep an eye open for something better.
I was thinking of...
Does JetBlue's contract offer any work rules other than the FAR's?
Specifically, what about guaranteed days off? Or, maximum days per month?
Is it possible to build a commutable line with the JetBlue system, or do you essentially find yourself on a Charter/freightdog schedule?
Are there...
What is the hire date of the junior jet Captain at Mesa?
How many Mesa pilots have over ten years seniority? , five years?
How many of the Farmington/Durango/Silverton/Aztec crowd still work there?
Thank you velly much!
If ExpressJet puts it's 69 extra Embraers in a SWA regional system, will the pilots get a flowthrough? I know that some would argue that ExpressJet pilots already have a defacto flow through, so leave that one alone.
:-)
Just curious. I noticed that someone has started a string about a regional carrier advertising for FOs, and it made me wonder.......Are regional carriers having trouble filling classes? Or, are those carriers having trouble filling classes with young, eager, willing to work for less, pilots...
If you're following SWA into 9L at KFLL, go slow and keep your distance. SWA tends to roll to the end to avoid having to wait for JetBlue and Continental pushes to clear the taxiway into the SWA gates. If you get too close to the SWA fluff, you might find yourself going around. Forwarned is...
What happened to the string about the Lear FO who happened to be a good looking, nude posing, chick?
let's have that link to her again, please. I didn't save it the first time:0
:-)
Does anyone know anything about Trans Caribbean?
Their website says that they fly, or will fly, from the Antilles (St. Maarten and Caracao) to London and some US cities. They'll use Airbus 340's for long haul, and 320's for the US routes. Other than that, I can't find much.
Can an American...
Does anyone know if SWA considers time in the industry as part of their qualification formula? The web based app only seems to take flight time into account, but there are lots of us who had/have jobs that don't allow for a 1000 hours per year. I sometimes wonder if I should cease my current...
Does anyone know the going rate for a B737, or B727 post maintenance test pilot?
I may have the chance to do some of that type of flying, and have no idea what to charge.
