Jepps aren't controlling. Refer to your ops specs for your airlines' minimums. Then look at the equipment on the runway. If I remember correctly, 27L has centerline lights and the whole works - which probably means 5/5/5 or 6/6/6.
I guess the question is really this. Can I continue past the IAF with with weather below mins for that approach? I know I can't go past the FAF, that is clearly stated in the FAR's, however where does it state I cannot go beyond the IAF.
I need an answer and a reg for the following situation:
Flying into LAX, you are outside of FUELR for the ILS 25L on the arrival, and the weather is below mins. ATC says "reaching FUELR cleared ILS 25L." Can you accept this clearance?
We all know we can't go past the final approach fix...
Where in the regs does it say that a large/transport category aircraft must have the ILS tuned in if landing on a runway with an operable ILS?
Also, do the regs say anything about landing on a runway not served with a VASI or papi, and not having any on board means of electronic g/s?... IE no...
Fortunately, the flight attendant Emergency Light Switch is the one switch they have control over that will "override" the flight deck. It works regardless of flight deck selection of the switch.
As far as boarding without pilots, I see no problem with it.
Just to beat a dead issue even further...
One must also look to see how far the glide slope "feather" goes out. There are many approaches where this "feather" can extend nearly 20 miles from the runway. The majority, however, extend only 4-6 miles from the runway.
Look at the ILS 22R into...
No. It's not minimized.
It counts all the time while I'm reading other web pages. But when I leave, it stops recording for some reason. Can it be sensing internet activity? I have no idea.
Otherwise, it's a pretty sweet deal.. $125 for lifetime renewals. Not to shabby.

Hey guys,
Every time I walk away from my computer, it stops recording my "study" time. How does it do this? Any ideas on how to make it think you are actually there?
Thanks for the help.

Not to rain on your parade.... but..
I would be highly surprised if ASA actually purchased those magazines. At least at SkyWest, they are given to us free by the company who distributes them. It's all about advertising.
So I guess my question remains, there is no way to just type in or insert a Discontinuity in the box?
Im aware of throwing the approach in, just way to many buttons to press.
Thanks all
