FMS Discontinuity

Yup. Ya' know, its an Airbus thing, Airbus uses Honeywell, Bombardier uses Collins. I think I'm mixing the two up. Sorry.

Once you get going in the Bus if you type in a fix in the Flt Plan it will give you a discontinuity.

Now that I think about it, I don't remember if it will work that way in the Collins box on the Collins Box.
Again, sorry.
 
I personally use GGG because I know its a real fix and I won't have to enter its coordinates to designate where it is in the world.
 
So I guess my question remains, there is no way to just type in or insert a Discontinuity in the box?

Im aware of throwing the approach in, just way to many buttons to press.

Why?

Why do you want to put a discontinuity in the box in the first place? I can assure you it won't go into hover mode no matter what you put in that damned box! You'll notice, once it gets to a discontinuity it just goes into "roll" mode and keeps flying straight ahead. So if you just want it to keep flying the same direction, put it into "HDG" mode and enjoy.
