Where in the regs does it say that a large/transport category aircraft must have the ILS tuned in if landing on a runway with an operable ILS?

Also, do the regs say anything about landing on a runway not served with a VASI or papi, and not having any on board means of electronic g/s?... IE no vasi/papi, no ils, no fms.

Thanks,

ST

you've never worked or talked to anyone that works (ed) at colgan have you?

91.129 is the only reg I know of that addresses this type of issue, but it's not along quite the same line of thinking as your question. You might want to read it to correct some of your verbiage. I know of no reg that requires an ILS be tuned in or prohibits landing on a runway that doesn't have vertical guidance. Your company may have something in the FOM about this, and if it is more restrictive than the FARs it would be controlling.
