Several SWA folks here corroberate the fact that there aren't positive numbers coming from DEN right now. It may be true that they expect this loss building their business there but the fact remains. My comment was simply to illustrate that they historically haven't done that. That and it...
On what data do you submit that F9 has not stood the test of time, and does not pay well? 14 years is no splash in the bucket and the salaries are very competitive for the peer group.
I don't hold animosity either, but leaving a company without honoring a training contract does not...
Gup,
I appreciate the explanation and where you are coming from.
It was only recently where we've seen people leave after being on property a whole three months, citing concerns for their family and job stability, etc. Now, if we had some indication that our jobs were in jeapordy that would...
I can't sit idle any longer. Please don't condescend to F9. Frankly we don't need it to feel ok about our jobs. We're doing just fine in Denver and will continue to do so. BTW, SWA is losing $20M a year in DEN using a model of doing business that they've never used before. Interesting to...
Don't forget there are 10 more aircraft yet to be delivered according to the current fleet plan. That makes 70, not 60. Two of which (320s) will be on property next year.
Beyond that is the increased utilization with resources they know are currently fixed.
I hope I'm not the only one who is wondering this, but... How exactly did he get issued a dip clearance into our country? Perhaps someone issued it. If not, he'd be fair game for our fighters on the way in...
From what I've heard, this was one of the biggest storms on record. However, what complicated matters is the fact that it was also a blizzard. Comparing this storm to those at other airports is like comparing apples to oranges. O'Hare's storms rarely enjoy the added component of gale winds...
And would you please quit using so damn many apostrophes! Seriously though, do you think after we get deployed on these all-expenses-paid vacations by Uncle Sam that we're thrilled to go into a PC cold? It's tough enough staying current and proficient in two completely different airframes and...
I can't say I've heard anything about the culture "going bad" here at F9. It's been a great culture so far and nothing indicates that it will change. It's all in the attitudes of the individuals. Frankly, a very high percentage of the employees I've met have awesome attitudes. It would take...
I'm not sure but I know they have been on different days in the past. Usually week days. Might want to PM or ask F9Recruiter to find out. He's the man on that stuff. Good luck!
Sadly, the middle class doesn't fight our wars. Many of our enlisted force live in areas (near their bases) so expensive that they are on food stamps. Even in other areas they by definition are lower middle class to poverty wage earners. Enlisted make up over 80% of the military. Not unlike...
How do you know if he's guilty or not? Give it (and him) the same benefit of doubt the courts will. He deserves that until he's proven guilty or innocent.
Dropped in there to update a few things with HR and prop up a couple friends. Looked like a bunch of well-groomed individuals! I hope everyone did well and had a great time. Let us all know how you do, and good luck to you all.

Hey folks,
Have a great time tomorrow. Enjoy the F9 culture and experience and show them who you are and how bad you want to be there. Relax, be genuine, be enthusiastic, and positive. You're going to enjoy the experience. Let us all know how you do.
Again, best of luck to each of you.
