O.S. Thank you for that post. I would suggest that any potential new hires take that information to heart when considering going to work there.
I left Options last year for another flying job because I was starting to become seriously concerned with the effect that job was having on my mental...
I whole heartedly agree with this last post, once you learn the little likes and dislikes of every single agent at every single customs and and immigration office it will be a breeze!
Seriously though it can be pretty frustrating at times, I've learned that if you're clearing at a station you...
Machdog, you're not the only one. On three seperate occasions in December we had to descend earlier than we initially intended to due to fuel temps in the 400A.
And as a side note I've noticed that the decrease in fuel temp down to -30 seems fairly gradual, but from there to -40 does not seem...
Hey there
I'd agree that we have a couple of people like that at options, but not too many. And I'd imagine you've probably worked just about all of us at one time or another, I'm sorry for any added stress some of our pilots may have caused you, but just know there are plenty of us ( I'd say...
I think AAFlyer hit the nail on the head
The hotels took a big risk in working with NWA to provide the rooms given the carrier's financial position, and they didn't do it out of the kindness of thier hearts, they did it simply because they saw a situation they felt they could benefit from/take...
I interviewed there a few years ago, seemed like a nice set up, I didn't get the job but did get a letter every week for about a month and a half from HR saying thanks, but no thanks heheh.
I also recieved a nice letter from the Chief Pilot thanking me for interviewing and inviting me to keep...
Does anyone else think that they are trying to use the "flight attendant pay" issue as a distraction? It sounds like they want the Pilots to blame them instead of the company for the lack of a pay increase.
I don't believe that one, not only do I think it's BS I also think it is very sleazy for...
Dakota Flyer,
Not only did you get convicted once of a DUI, you went out and did it again, not only did you do it again it sounds like you still can't figure out that you did something wrong! And from what I've seen on this string of posts I'll bet you're going to go out and do it again because...
The response Dime Line got is a good representation of just how little our management understands what is going on, sure most Pilots would leave any of the Fractionals for any of the Airlines listed, but management " simply didn't expect this many Pilots to leave this quickly ".
It hasn't...
So far all FLOPS has done is send out a 250 dollar "performance bonus" for the year to it's people, too bad it doesn't come anywhere near the amount of money they've taken away from us already. The funny thing is that it came out of nowhere about a day or two before CS announced their pay...
I agree that the Eclipse program sounds pretty lousy, they'll probably lower those standards a bit instead of making it worth while for the experience level they're currently looking for.
As for the Javelin...I saw one in APA a couple days ago, that thing has fun written all over it!
yeah buddy!
This is one of those funny, sad, scary aviation stories that happen every day, but thanks to avbugs research and editing it is one I don't think I'll ever forget!
My understanding is that if the SIDs or STARs you would like to use are not in the database and retrieveable that you should not use them, the reasoning here is that some waypoints will be fly over and some will be fly by.
Is there any chance of upgrading to the 5000?
