operative word was IF. SWAPA calculator has me upgrading in 09 (hired in 04). Thats a conservative calculator that doesnt take into account accelerated growth plans, or, IFs.

Heard we are telling newhires in class that upgrade will be around 3yrs IF we could find all the planes we want. Sounds good for new guys. Big IF though, I guess. IF my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle.
SWAPA will no longer support change of age 60 after the leadership change in January. There will be another vote and we all know which way it will go. 99% of FOs and a surprising number of captains are against change.

Not sure what a "phantom" seat is, but if you mean over booking flights, EVERYONE does that. Surely you dont need that explained to you. You lost me on the rapid rewards program and the flights that dont exist. Not sure what is wrong with the DING stuff, I dont use it.

Stop trying to make drama about our negotiations. Its just not that big of an issue, and had absolutly no impact on our record breaking Q2, our extremely disappointing Q3, and will not impact the '06 year end.

Who really gives a crap. I guess we could waste time in negotiations converting from TFP to hourly, and then adjusting rates to match (1TFP = 1.2+ hr) and end up with the exact same thing.
You fly the plane... they pay you. Doesnt matter how its measured.
Letters do not usually go out until after the decision board meets. Usually about a month after the interview, give or take. If your friend calls the PD they can probably tell him when his board is scheduled to meet.
Most of our hotels are Westins, Hyatts, and Hiltons. Most downtown where everything is. And, yes, they do lower prices to that level. Unlike alot of airlines, hotels love SWA as a customer. Most bend over backward for us.
