Sure. I'm saying you had to put in 46,000 of your own money to get the extra 23,000 (from the company). You would end up with 69,000 total. If you want to compare apples to apples you could say that a UAL guy could contribute 46,000 (no match)into their 401k and they would end up with about...
I work here and I do like it. It is probably the easiest job I've ever had. That being said this whole thread is just silly. We should not be comparing ourselves to UAL in any way. UALdriver does make some good points with total compensation. I did a calculation with retirement ours vs UAL. Here...
Same here. Downloaded app without flight time worksheet, handwritten, sent in about Dec 12th. Recieved app accepted e-mail today. Excited but patiently waiting.

For those that are too lazy:

I thought he was full of hot air too as I read his column when I was hired at ACA in early '01. He was predicting this way back then. Go back and read his forcasts. He is dead on. Sometimes we just don't like to admit to the truth.
Is the payscale updated each year on the contract anniversary or is that payscale in effect throughout the contract? In other words most airline positions get 2 raises a year, one is longevity and the other contractual. It appears that you only get one raise a year based on longevity. Is this...
