Yes, that is what I am saying.
Insane, yep. True, yep. Sad that it is true, yep. Question, do you believe and agree with everything told to you by your MEC during this process?
Believe what you want, however, THAT does not make you correct. I already told you the comm chair made comments contrary to why SWA pilots were at the GO. You are believing a quote, but not believing the intent of individual pilots present at the rally.
Clyde do us all a favor, including...
Clyde, think what you want. Trust me, many of my SWA brothers and sisters feel we were screwed with this abomination of a merger just as much as you AT folks.
Lets see, I'm further from upgrade, lost domicile bidding power (since all transitions are FOs until 2015) lost vacation bidding...
Two things:
1. I'm SWA and I don't feel as if I won anything with this acquis.....errrr merger
2. I was at that rally and it was NOT to support management. It was to support our union leadership who were meeting with management at the time. You see, we as line pilots were not happy with how...
Behind all current SWA and AT pilots. If hired in January lets say, there would be about 1000 pilots still needing to transition to SWA. When they do, they are all senior to you.
...843 1:50 pm Departure: 21-30 seats
Flt 42 5:55 pm departure: 21-30 seats
Flt 50 8:00pm departure: wide open
Listed only nonstops. Several other flights with connections/thru flights. You can call the reservation line and they usually are more than happy to check loads.
*Wide open = +31 seats
I believe the transitioned former AirTran aircraft only have one j/s, so the percentage w/o two j/s is rising. Still most 700s have two which that flight is scheduled with. Two is relative however. Not a lot of space if you're stuck behind the captain seat.
Lear,
Just curious what info you are using to determine an approximate 14 year upgrade. I'm significantly more senior on the ISL than you, and the SWAPA upgrade projector used during the SLI voting showed me crossing the 50% line at @17 years. Assumed no growth and all retirements being...
Regarding the "new hire" moniker for the FAT, on SWALife the training class rosters differentiate between Initial Training Class rosters and New Hire Class rosters; the FAT are all included in the former. Is the class the same? Most likely, but they are considered something other than New Hires...
No, we don't just sit there. We monitor the second engine start and have a verbal ballet between the captain and FO, to include a little air for our customers known as "isolating and ventilating". :D
DAL sucks!!! Too hot, ice storms in winter and no scenery. Chief Pilots suck too.;) You don't want to be in DAL. This is not the base you are looking for...
